Located just around the corner from Buckingham Palace, Aster is well placed to host a royal wedding brunch. Decorated in royal bunting, the restaurant will be showing the wedding on a big screen, and guests will be treated to a Windsor-inspired brunch menu (such as royal pheasant scotch egg and elderflower lemon tart) with the option of bottomless prosecco. Themed cocktails will include the Jolly Ginger and Markle Sparkle.

Bluebird, Chelsea

Bluebird will be hosting a ‘Royal Hurrar’ brunch in its courtyard, which will be decked out in bunting and balloons. A huge screen will be erected in the alfresco area, showing all the action live. Party goers will be welcomed with a celebratory glass of champagne to toast the happy couple, before enjoying a barbecue-focused brunch.

High up in Canary Wharf, Bōkan will be throwing a royal soirée, where guests can watch the entire wedding day unfold on giant screens in Bar 38 and the open-air terrace on 39. Guests will tuck into a quintessentially British picnic and toast the newlyweds with a Markle’s Sparkle; a lemon and elderflower cocktail inspired by Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake.

London’s oldest botanical garden is offering complimentary entry to all guests on the day of the royal wedding. The garden will be holding several events to celebrate the occasion; highlights include a ‘Royal’ mystery trail, a ‘Best Hat’ competition, Minty Markle cocktails and flower crown masterclasses with Bloomologie. Guests will be able to watch the ceremony on an outdoor screen.

Coworth Park, Ascot

Just a short journey from Windsor, this five-star property is putting on an afternoon tea throughout May. With ingredients from the finest British suppliers, the tea includes finger sandwiches (the roast beef is sourced from Windsor Estate), traditional scones and pastries (including, of course, a lemon and elderflower drizzle cake). An Earl Grey tea mousse with apricot and vanilla will be served as a nod to the Queen’s favourite brew, and each guest will be furnished with a glass of Windsor Estate sparkling wine.

This five-star hotel has teamed up with specialist event planners Bedazzled Events, children’s outfitters La Stupenderia and master chocolatiers Artisan du Chocolat for a royal-themed event for kids. Maître Choux has launched a limited-edition éclair inspired by the official royal wedding cake – a delicate and smooth lemon and elderflower cream. Available from 4th May at both Maître Choux outposts, the pretty éclairs will allow Londoners celebrating the do at home to have a taste of the high life.

PF Chang’s Asian Table, Covent Garden

The Covent Garden restaurant’s Bar Lab has created a limited-edition ‘Drink like the Royals’ cocktail menu with tipples inspired by the royal family’s favourite drinks. Guests can sip on the ‘Sparkle Like Markle’, a cask-aged negroni, or choose a ‘Marry Harry’ vodka cocktail, inspired by Harry’s former party days. Queenie also gets a nod, with the ‘God Save The Queen’, which includes her favourite spirit, gin, mixed with Thai basil, mandarin liqueur, kumquat jam and lemon.

Radio Rooftop, Covent Garden

The bar atop the ME London hotel will be live-screening the whole wedding on 19th May. In tandem with all the action at Windsor, guests will tuck into a Brit vs Yank menu – quintessentially British desserts inspired by the couple’s wedding cake – and a champagne toast of Chapel Downs, as is reportedly being served at the regal wedding.

Scarfes Bar, Holborn

Scarfes Bar at the Rosewood London has created a cheeky cocktail in ode to Prince Harry. Named ‘Off The Market’ – and served in a custom-made hipflask craftily hidden within a book – the drink has been created to commemorate the year that Harry settles down for good. The sip mixes Royal Salute 21-year-old whisky with saffron and ginger bitters – we hear it’s a strong take on an Old Fashioned.

The Punch Room at The London EDITION will host a ‘Royal Scandal Water Special’, along with a live screening of the wedding. Guests will enjoy a glass of Ruinart champagne upon arrival, followed by a glass of Punch Room’s ‘Regency Punch’. The award-winning Berners Tavern will serve quintessentially British tea bites such as Victoria sponge, English trifle, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, alongside English Breakfast or Earl Grey tea.

This month, F&M’s famous Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon will be transforming its traditional afternoon tea into ‘A Right Royal Celebration Tea’. Canapés have been created with Harry and Meghan in mind: think classic cucumber topped with all-American lobster, served with armagnac cream cheese and a dollop of caviar. The pièce de résistance sits proudly on the top tier: a lemon and elderflower mini celebration cake will be topped with an H and an M, and ribboned with a commemorative design.
