Town Hall Hotel

Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green has created a Sunday brunch menu at its restaurant Corner Room. Diners can sit in the light and bright dining room lined with indoor plants from 11.30am to 2pm to enjoy classic brunch dishes, coffee and cocktails. Menu highlights include burrata with sundried tomatoes and herbs; grilled kippers with spinach and butter; and pancakes with berry compote, crème fraîche and maple syrup. You can also choose order full English or vegetarian breakfasts.

Grey Goose Essences x Annie’s Ibiza Season of Spritz Series

Grey Goose Essences has teamed up with Annie’s Ibiza to host a special picnic at Fulham Palace on Saturday 31st July. To celebrate National Picnic Month, ticketholders can try four cocktails each, all made with the new Grey Goose Essences range, and enjoy grazing platters from Grape & Fig. You can also take part in garden games like skittles and explore the palace grounds. All ticketholders will also receive a handbag from the brand’s collaboration with Annie’s Ibiza. There are three time slots to choose from: 12.30-2.30pm, 3-5pm and 5.30-7.30pm. Tickets cost £260 for a four-person table or £390 for a six-person table.

Royal Opera House Cinema Season

Royal Opera House is screening 13 productions at cinemas around the UK this summer. As part of its biggest cinema season ever, you can watch productions from the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera at over 1,300 cinemas around the world over the next few months, including Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Later in August, tune into operas including La Traviata, Rigoletto and Madame Butterfly

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fashion Freak Show at Roundhouse

This new show celebrates the weird and wonderful world created by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Featuring performances from actors, dancers and circus artists, the show charts Gaultier’s journey to becoming one of the fashion world’s most significant icons. By way of a soundtrack, there’s disco, funk, pop, rock and new wave punk that has inspired Gaultier over the years. Tickets start from £15.

Timothy David Hair Pop-Up

Celebrity hair stylist Timothy David has opened a pop-up salon in a vintage 1969 Airstream trailer in Paddington’s Merchant Square. Timothy has worked on a few A-listers’ hair over the years (like Gillian Anderson) so this is your chance to get a trim from an industry legend. Book a slot for a cut and colour, blow dry or styling session. Prices start from £35.

Earls Court Open-Air Cinema

Underbelly Festival Earls Court has turned itself into an outdoor cinema for the rest of summer, complete with its own beach, street food traders and pop-up bars. Screenings will run at 4pm and 7.30pm every day until September with additional showings at 12.30pm at weekends. The best part? All films are free and there’s even complimentary table service as you watch classics like Blade Runner or The Goonies – or take the kids to watch Paddington 2 or Encanto. Enjoy deckchairs as you sip G&Ts from Tarquin Cornish Gin’s pop-up, while kids can choose from soft drinks and smoothies.

For authentic dishes served in a seriously cool venue, Polentina in east London is the name to know. This small canteen-style restaurant is housed on the first floor at eco clothing factory ApparelTasker in Bow. On Tuesdays to Fridays, diners can try simple Italian and Austrian dishes served in the dining room – and the team host regular supper clubs every month. On Fridays, there’s a dinner service until 11pm when guests are treated to dishes like ricotta and pea salad; aubergine parmigiana; zuppa di pesce with mussels, prawns and monkfish; and citrus custard crostata.

Quo Vadis & Friends: Part 2

Soho members club and restaurant Quo Vadis (headed up by chef Jeremy Lee) is hosting another series of monthly chef takeovers. On Wednesday 3rd August, Dalston grill Mangal 2 will take to the kitchen to showcase a selection of Turkish dishes. Open to members and non-members, the supper will take place in the private dining room on the restaurant’s second floor, before guests move down into the QV Club for the evening. If you can’t make it next week, book ahead for the next supper on Wednesday 28th September to try dishes by Hang Fire, followed by Jackson Boxer on Wednesday 19th October. Tickets cost £X.
