TAKE THE GIRLS: Dim Sum Afternoon Soirée at Park Chinois

Looking for a cool spot for a girls’ lunch? Park Chinois in Mayfair has created a new experience where diners can enjoy dim sum afternoon tea with immersive entertainment from a range of performers (£85pp). While a DJ plays Balearic and South American beats, diners will be treated to performances from burlesque dancers, flame eaters and contortionists. The three-course menu consists of a selection of dim sum followed by dishes like sweet and sour prawns with caramelised pineapple, black cod, and stir-fried chicken with ginger sauce, all served with seasonal veg and egg-fried rice. To finish, there’s a seasonal dessert (like a coconut and passionfruit bomb) plus a glass of champagne.

HEAR FROM A FILM ICON: Fashion & Cinema Talk at The Soho Hotel

On Sunday 24th April, the Soho Hotel will host a special event with world-famous costume designer Sandy Powell. Powell will discuss her career in the film industry with writer and curator Keith Lodwick – she’s been nominated for the Best Costume Design Oscar 15 times, winning for Shakespeare in Love, The Aviator and The Young Victoria. During the talk, expect to hear about some of the other films she’s worked on including Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed and The Favourite. The talk will be followed by a showing of Powell's chosen film Orlando starring Tilda Swinton. Tickets cost £35, which includes a glass of wine of arrival, or £65 for a three-course meal at Refuel Restaurant too.

SHOP FOR A GOOD CAUSE: Bay Garnett & Friends x Oxfam Charity Sale

Celebrity stylist – and queen of thrifting – Bay Garnett will transform St Peter’s Church in Notting Hill into a fashion emporium for a one-day charity shopping event on Saturday 23rd April. From 10am to 5pm shoppers can browse hundreds of designer pieces, from priceless vintage items to new-season picks, all of which have been donated from Bay’s friends including Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Stella McCartney, Alexa Chung and Simone Rocha, to name a few. There will also be a gallery area with artwork from artists including Mary McCartney and Lucy Temple, as well as homeware and bric-a-brac stalls. DJs will set the vibe with house tunes, and you can even keep little ones entertained at the kid’s corner with interactive badge making, storytelling, and arts and crafts. If you can’t make it on the day, there’s an online auction and raffle with prizes donated from Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason and Chanel – as well as overnight stays at luxury hotels and coffee with Mark Ronson up for grabs. All proceeds will go to Oxfam’s emergency relief fund, which provides aid for global crises including those in Ukraine, Yemen and South Sudan.

BRING THE OUTDOORS IN: Chelsea Physic Garden Plant Fair

On Saturday 23rd April, Chelsea Physic Garden hosts a plant fair from 10am to 5pm. Shoppers can choose from houseplants, succulents, herbs and outdoor plants, and terrariums from the likes of Kew Plantsman, Peng Succulents, Forest London, and Spitalfields Candles. The garden will also be open all day for visitors to explore a plant collection of over 4,500 medicinal, herbal and edible plants from around the world. Malfy Gin will transform Protein Studios in Shoreditch into an immersive venue where guest will be transported to the Amalfi Coast in an Italian-themed pop-up from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th April. SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE: Inside Out x LinkedIn Pop-Up At Westfield Stratford City

Social enterprise Inside Out helps disadvantaged young people gain  skills in business, fashion and retail. Today until Thursday 28th April, it’s hosting a pop-up at Westfield Stratford in collaboration with LinkedIn to raise funds for the project. Shoppers will be able to buy the UK’s first clothing range created, designed and hand-produced by young ex-offenders. Throughout the week, it will also host a series of inspirational panel discussions to help young people gain self-confidence and learn about business. Visitors can also get free professional headshots and one-to-one career advice from LinkedIn career coaches who will be available at the pop-up on Tuesday 26th April.

DISCOVER HIDDEN GEMS: King's Cross Classic Car Boot Sale

The Classic Car Boot Sale returns to King’s Cross this Saturday. The London Edition hotel is the site of Resale Therapy, a pre-loved designer and vintage fashion sale hosted by Pixie Geldof, Fran Burns and Claudia Sinclair on Sunday 24th April from 11am to 4pm. VISIT THIS COOL EXHIBITION: Small Is Beautiful: Miniature Art Exhibition

This new exhibition is all about tiny artwork. Featuring over 130 miniature creations and 80 photographic pieces from more than 30 artists from around the world, the exhibition is now in London after showing in Paris. Taking over a small gallery space on Old Brompton Road, expect to see works from artists like Esha Kiran Bijutkar – who creates tiny models of food like sushi, pastries and roast dinners – Le Mini de Claudia, known for her tiny bakery and kitchen scenes, and Minimiam whose signature work includes tiny figurines on life-sized plates of food. From Friday 22nd April, chef Sally Abé will serve a special five-course menu for four weeks at her St James’s restaurant The Pem.
