London Podcast Festival
London Podcast Festival kicks off this weekend with its first batch of live recordings. Taking place in front of an audience at Kings Place in King’s Cross, the annual festival will showcase some of the UK’s most popular shows – and there’s something for everyone. Highlights over the next two weeks include a special mash-up show between The Guilty Feminist podcast and the Brown Girls Do It Too podcast where Deborah Frances-White will be joined by Poppy and Rubina to talk about feminism and sex on Saturday 10th September. There’s also a live recording of the Pressed podcast with influencers Mariam Musa and Adeola Patronne on Saturday 11th September. Tickets start from £9.

National Theatre Live: Much Ado About Nothing
Tonight, The Soho Hotel is hosting a live screening of the National Theatre's Much Ado About Nothing – and there are still a few tickets left. On Sunday 11th September, singer and holistic coach Roses Gabor will return to the London Edition for another day of her signature programme, the Interlude Wellness Centre. Mei Ume Mid-Autumn Festival
Mei Ume at The Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Hill has created a special menu to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival in Chinese culture. Available until Saturday 10th September, diners can work their way through a seven-course tasting menu (£124pp) highlighting seasonal ingredients and special Asian flavours. The meal begins with edamame and a rich miso broth; followed by a sashimi and nigiri selection; a Teochew prawn roll featuring a salted egg yolk centre; a dim sum selection; and a choice of angus fillet or wagyu beef served with a black bean sauce and steamed rice. For dessert, diners will be treated to a traditional mooncake of their choice – choose from flavours like rose jam, chestnut or red beans.

Unlimited Festival at Southbank Centre
London's Southbank Centre hosts its biennial Unlimited Festival this weekend – a five-day event celebrating the creative work of disabled artists with special performances across music and film. Running from today until Sunday 11th September, over half of the events are free to attend, so there’s no excuse not to bring your friends along. This year’s programme focuses on climate change, identity and marginalised experiences. Highlights include Jess Thom's Touretteshero's Masked Ball (Friday 9th); Corali Dance Company's family friendly show Super Hot Hot Dog which explores the relationship between performers with and without a learning disability (Sunday 11th); and a performance from Ruth McGinley, one of Ireland's leading pianists (Thursday 8th).

TRY A NEW WORKOUT:
Rowbots
The brainchild of Gareth Bale and team GB powerlifting champion Hendrick Famutimi, the Rowbots workout is for those looking for an athlete-worthy session. In addition to its signature rowing machine workouts, the gym is launching two new classes this weekend. Head to Rowbots City or Rowbots Fitzrovia to try a 50-minute ‘Energy Strength’ class which includes strength training exercises with weights to help increase stamina and flexibility. Turning Tides Festival at Greenwich Peninsula
Greenwich Peninsula is hosting a free festival on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September. Visitors can listen to live music from jazz and R&B singers, and sample street food from local vendors and drinks from a pop-up bar at Tide Square. Confirmed acts across the weekend include drumming ensemble South London Samba, jazz singer Muva of the Earth, Brixton Chamber Orchestra, and percussionist Falle Nioke. Ukrainian band DakhaBrakha (who recently played on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage) are set to headline alongside Afro-jazz band Nubiyan Twist. Register at the link below for a free ticket.
