The Kid’s Table has teamed up with Market Halls Fulham and Victoria to launch supervised fun for kids aged three to ten years old, so parents can enjoy Sunday brunch undisturbed. Whether you’re craving pancakes with pork belly from Hot Box or avocado on toast from Squirrel, now parents can relax with friends or the papers while the pop-up kid’s corner keeps their children entertained. Children at both venues can get involved with face-painting and craft activities with a different theme each week. Activities include Lego building, friendship bracelet making, drawing, games and more – and even the family dog is welcome. Market Halls offers 18 kitchens, five bars, two coffee shops and two roof terraces between them, plus a fitness studio at the Fulham branch.

PRETEND YOU’RE IN GREECE HERE: Great Guns Social
Chef Maria Elia is bringing her inventive Greek cooking to Southwark with a three-week residency at Great Guns Social. Her ‘Smashing Plates’ menu will feature some of her favourite dishes – savoury baklavas, moussaka croquettes, carrot keftedes, bream with pourgouri, cherries and mint, octopus and caper gnocchi and kataifi-wrapped figs with baklava nuts and fig-leaf panna cotta. The menu is a true feast for foodies, while a smaller, light lunch menu offers main course salads such as feta, peach and dakos. For groups of six or more, Maria will be offering a feasting dinner, featuring whole slow-roast shoulder of lamb accompanied by an array of dips, salads and sides.

TRY A NEW BRUNCH HERE: Dominique Ansel Bakery
Dominique Ansel Bakery in Belgravia has launched a brand-new weekend brunch. The eye-catching menu features award-winning pastry chef Dominique Ansel’s take on a number of mid-morning classics including basque shakshuka (baked eggs with Basque flavours, roasted piperade, smoky aubergine, crème fraîche and espelette, served with garlic-rubbed sourdough toast), florentine breton crêpes (buckwheat crêpe filled with Gruyère cheese, oyster mushrooms, butter kale and a fried egg) and smoked trout salad. The new dishes have been created using high-quality, carefully-sourced British ingredients, such as spring asparagus from Wye Valley Farm in Herefordshire and Breckland Brown free-range eggs from chickens reared at Highfield Farm in Norfolk. Of the lot, we’re most excited about trying the ‘Perfect Little Egg Sandwich’ – steamed eggs, herbs and Gruyère cheese, served on a fresh-baked mini brioche bun with a garden salad on the side.

The romantic restaurant has added the likes of salmon mousse and British seasonal asparagus; and customisable salads (salad leaves, roquette, lamb lettuce, tomatoes, new potatoes and cucumber dill, topped with either salmon, grilled chicken or beetroot and asparagus, to its menu, each priced at £16.50. The dishes are available to order all day and are ideal for either a light lunch or an afternoon snack with a glass of rosé, both of which should be taken on the restaurant’s picturesque terrace.

TRY A NEW DINNER SPOT HERE: 26 Grains
This month, Alex Hely-Hutchinson of 26 Grains will welcome guests for dinner at her Neal’s Yard restaurant for the first time. In line with Alex’s philosophy, the new evening menu will focus on simple seasonal cooking with quality ingredients, with a weekly changing set menu of one starter, followed by one fresh homemade pasta dish. From 6pm Wednesday to Saturday, the kitchen will serve dishes such as ricotta, radicchio and hazelnuts; leek vinaigrette; and flat green beans with crostini, goats cheese and picked nettle. For mains expect tagliatelle with mushroom and walnuts; arrabbiata; and pork and fennel ragu with broccoli and chilli. The drinks list is similarly stripped-back, with a small selection of whites and reds as well as seasonal cocktails.

GET INVOLVED HERE: Soho Music Month
Soho Music Month returns this June with a host of activities and outdoor gigs to celebrate the rich music heritage in the area. Taking place until 30th June, the event is a free music and culture festival with an exciting schedule of events, workshops, in-store gigs and exclusive cocktails and dishes. Throughout the festival, the Platform LDN hub and exhibition space at 3 Carnaby Street will showcase a variety of activities from DJ residencies, live music broadcasts and creative workshops. These include hip-hop duo Run The Jewels who will host RTJ UK, their first ever UK gallery exhibition, plus events from the likes of Beats 1 radio presenter Julie Adenuga, TV and radio personality Maya Jama and DIY Generation presenter Jamz Supernova.

PARTY HERE: Strictly Bangers
The Salon team is back with ‘Strictly Bangers’ at Salon Wine Store; a series which brings together the bar’s passion for great wine and music. Once a month, the best of the London wine scene will bring their best bottles to the table and match it with their top tunes. Dipping into a range of low intervention and natural wines from Salon’s shelves, and bringing exciting bottles from their own collection, guests can expect rare, cult wines with playlists ranging from classic R&B, electronica to garage, disco and techno. This month will see Dynamite MC – aka Dominic Smith, who is also a sommelier at The Clove Club – serve wine to a selection of old-school dance anthems. Next up will be Gus Gluck from Quality Wines Farringdon on 4th July, who will be pouring his pick of unusual vintages from the independent cellars of the new and old world, alongside a serving of soul, funk and disco.
