BOOK AHEAD: WOW Festival At Southbank Centre
WOW Festival returns to Southbank Centre from Friday 11th to Saturday 13th March. To mark International Women’s Day, the festival will showcase female talent from across the world. During the weekend, visitors can listen to Booker Prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo on the subject of discovering Black British writers; a performance from comedian Bridget Christie’s new stand-up show Who am I?; and a talk from influencer Grace Victory and author Candice Braithwaite about motherhood, mental health and maternal mortality rates for Black women. Other highlights include an afternoon with author and broadcaster Elizabeth Day, and a session with Marian Keyes, who will discuss her new book Again, Rachel. Tickets start from £10.

Mortimer House has a new Sunday lunch menu. Served every week from 11am to 4pm, the dishes take inspiration from Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, and everything is made using seasonal ingredients. Choose from starters like mac and cheese; duck terrine; blood orange and agretti; and octopus carpaccio with basil emulsion and aubergine. The main course is a twist on a typical Sunday roast – slow roast pork belly with cannellini beans and romesco sauce to share; battered seabream; and braised ox cheeks with bagna cauda (a warm sauce made from garlic and anchovies).

MARK INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: Stoney Street by 26 Grains
