Veuve Clicquot has opened The Sunny Side Café pop-up in Soho to celebrate its 250th anniversary. Available for bookings until Saturday 30th April, diners can choose from classic breakfast and brunch options inspired by an East End greasy spoon – with a champagne twist, of course. Expect eggs and Marmite soldiers, curried tofu scramble with spinach on toast, a full English, and waffles served with streaky bacon, confit cherry tomatoes, spiced maple syrup and fried eggs, created by celebrity chef Andi Oliver. Tickets start from £46 and include a complimentary glass of Yellow Label Brut.

Italian Sparkling Wine Festival At Eataly
Eataly is hosting an Italian sparkling wine festival from Saturday 29th April to Sunday 1st May. Visitors can sample 60 types of wine from 22 specialists, each travelling directly from Italy especially for the event. Taking place across the site’s ground and first floor, you’ll hear about each wine, how it was harvested and what food to pair it with. Tickets start from £20 and give you access to one evening tasting session, with the option to buy a ticket that includes either five or ten 75ml tastings. All tickets include a bespoke Eataly wine glass and limited-edition pouch to take home, and you’ll also get 20% OFF at Eataly’s wine and deli market.

Petra Palumbo Pop-Up, Mayfair
Sustainable homeware designer Petra Palumbo has opened a pop-up shop in Mayfair to showcase her eponymous brand. Open today until Saturday 30th April, shoppers can browse a selection of handmade glassware, ceramics and textiles, including carafe and tumbler sets and hand-painted and mouth-blown glassware. All the pieces are made in the UK and are inspired by Petra’s Lebanese heritage – we’ve got our eye on the pretty kitchen tiles and hand-painted tumblers.

On top of The Stratford hotel, Allegra has reopened its outdoor terrace. With a stylish wraparound design, the restaurant and bar have great views of the City from the 7th floor. Head chef Patrick Powell has created a new menu in line with the changing seasons – think oysters with bloody Mary granite and pickled celery; Cornish pollock ceviche, tomato, leche de tigre and preserved lime; and fried chicken with mustard fruit, aioli and pickles. In terms of drinks, we recommend the ‘Citrus Spritz’ made with Pampelle, home-made citrus cordial, prosecco and grapefruit soda. Bill Bernstein Last Dance Exhibition At Defected HQ
Defected HQ in Shoreditch has just opened an exhibition in collaboration with Glitterbox to showcase the work of renowned photographer Bill Bernstein, known for his hedonistic shots of New York’s 70s club scene. Curated by David Hill Gallery, the free exhibition includes never-seen-before images of the city’s most famous spots, including Studio 54, Paradise Garage and Better Days. Known for shooting club culture’s most pivotal moments in his signature monochrome aesthetic, Bernstein’s photography captures the edge, glamour and grittiness of NYC. AllSaints X Shelter Pop-Up
AllSaints has partnered with homeless charity Shelter for a pop-up road trip around the country. On bank holiday Monday 2nd May, the pop-up is coming to Clapham Common where shoppers can choose from 250 donated pieces of surplus stock. Penny Goldstone, digital fashion director of Marie Claire, has chosen her top 50 pieces if you need some pointers on what to go for. Marylebone Food Festival
Today until Sunday 1st May, Marylebone Food Festival is celebrating the area’s dining and drinking scene. Over the course of the weekend, over 30 restaurants and bars will offer special menus, masterclasses, supper clubs and tastings, including Cubitt House, Lina Stores, The Cavendish, Nobu Portman Square, The Grazing Goat and Taka. Highlights include a Japanese cocktail masterclass at Junsei, a special three-course menu at The Coach Makers pub and a tasting experience at La Fromagerie.

Brixton Disco Festival
Brixton Disco Festival takes place this weekend, and there are still tickets available if you fancy a dance on Saturday 30th April from 3pm to 3am. Taking place across multiple locations in Brixton – including Electric Brixton, POW Brixton, The Ritzy cinema and Brixton Village – the line-up includes big-name disco DJs and up-and-coming artists such as The Shapeshifters (‘Lola’s Theme’, ‘When Life is a Dancefloor’), Greg Wilson, Mr Scruff, Teni Tinks, Colleen Murphy and Obi Franky. Pergola in Paddington has been given a makeover for summer. From this weekend, visitors can party at Pergola Paraiso, inspired by the balmy beaches of Tulum, with pop-up restaurants from Crudo Cevicheria and Dos Mas Tacos, an extensive menu of margaritas, and a centrepiece dancefloor. Walk through the palm trees archway to discover a tropical paradise complete with wicker chairs, hammocks, kilim rugs and a Mexican-inspired mural. There are also bookable cabana-style day beds, ideal for al fresco evenings with the girls, plus the venue’s first dancefloor with a roster of well-known DJs playing beach house at parties throughout the summer.
