The Summer Social Event To Book Now
Created in partnership with ASCOT RACECOURSE
The Weekend
QIPCO King George Diamond Day combines world-class flat racing with the atmosphere of a quintessentially British summertime occasion. Steeped in history, this is a more relaxed occasion than Royal Ascot. In fact, it’s the ideal event to book if you’re looking for a fun and varied day out – as well as the races, Ascot has a huge range of restaurants and bars, shopping experiences, and live music and dancing as the sun starts to set. While there’s no formal dress code in the Queen Anne Enclosure and racegoers are advised to dress smartly in the other hospitality areas, it’s a great excuse to get dressed up. What’s more, it’s easy to get to from both London and the Home Counties.
The Racing
This is Ascot’s most prestigious midsummer event. Its showpiece race – The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes – has long been regarded as Europe’s premier midseason middle-distance championship race, attracting the very best from across the continent. It is a race that has crowned some famous champions including Nijinsky, Mill Reef, Brigadier Gerard, Shergar, Nashwan, Galileo and the mighty Enable, the only three-time winner.
The Enclosures
The Queen Anne Enclosure
At the centre of the action – with access to the Grandstand, Pre-Parade Ring, Parade Ring and Trackside Lawns – The Queen Anne Enclosure is packed with cocktail bars, street food vans and casual seating. This year, the Trackside Lawns will offer a contemporary festival vibe, allowing racegoers to enjoy an eclectic mix of entertainment. Guests can watch all the racing action from the raised covered terraces of the Ascot Grandstand.

Winning Post Enclosure
Guests in the Winning Post Enclosure have exclusive access to private viewing lawns and terraces immediately next to the Winning Post – the closest guests can get to the thrilling final moments of each race. Informal al fresco dining, refined cocktail bars, live music and soft seating set the scene for a day of garden party-style socialising. Add to this the uninterrupted views from the trackside rail, and this is an enclosure that mixes relaxation with the full Ascot experience for those who don’t want to miss a moment of the racing.
