The Amazon-inspired theme encompasses tropical trees and disco balls on the ceiling, plush animal print furniture, and dancers and aerial performers who pop up on the stages. Wyld is also eco-friendly – you won’t find any single-use plastic in the venue, and for every bottle bought at the bar, the team will plant a tree with help from Eden Reforestation Projects. SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE: Ronnie Scott's Musical Amnesty

On Saturday 22nd January from 10am-3pm, Ronnie Scott's is holding a ‘musical instrument amnesty’ where you can donate unused or unwanted instruments to children in the UK and overseas. The instruments will go to charities Music For All and Sistema England. All instruments – from plastic recorders to violins and state-of-the-art mixing desks – are welcomed, as long as they’re in a good condition. Once you’ve donated, enjoy a hot drink or glass of fizz to learn about the project and the impact your donation will make – you’ll even receive a tracking number so you can follow the journey of your instrument and see who receives it. Last year, artists like Sam Smith and KT Tunstall donated, so you might even bump into a celeb or two.

HEAD SOUTH: Battersea Power Station Light Festival

Battersea Power Station’s annual light festival returns this weekend. In collaboration with the Light Art Collection, there are six installations around the riverside neighbourhood. This year, three artists have created unique displays, including ‘Run Beyond’ by Angelo Bonello (which you might recognise from Amsterdam’s canals), two huge neon origami tigers by Lava, and ‘Picto Sender Machine’ – a 10ft rainbow installation that mirrors your movements. Once you’ve seen the lights, stop for dinner at Indian restaurant Cinnamon Kitchen, Tapas Brindisa, or Wright Brothers for fresh seafood.
