Real Narcos

We don’t know about you, but we’re loving the latest season of Narcos Mexico. If true crime is your thing, tune in as Real Narcos meets the real agents tasked with bringing down some of history’s most notorious criminal masterminds – from the ‘King of Cocaine’, Pablo Escobar, to the most powerful drug trafficker on the planet, El Chapo. The initial season – which kicked off in March – is only three episodes in (so there isn’t too much catching up to do), with new instalments released every Monday. Addictive.

Bryony Gordon’s Mad World

Back with new episodes, the third series of journalist Bryony Gordon’s beloved podcast is a little bit different – not least because the world has gone a tad…mad. Aiming to guide listeners through these unprecedented times Bryony sits down with household names, frontline healthcare workers and mental health staff to remind you that even when you’re isolating, you are not alone. Recent guests include bake-off star Nadiya Hussein and therapist Donna Lancaster. In Bryony’s trademark honest style, expect equal parts practical advice and cheer.

FT Culture Call

If you’re not already tuning into Instagram each day at 6pm to listen to The Guilty Feminist host Deborah White chat with some of her closest friends, this new podcast is your chance to catch up on the archive at your own pace. The podcast that brings you honest, topical conversations around the kitchen table with no boundaries is back with a new season. Now stuck at home like so many of us, famed interviewer and investigative journalist Louis Theroux is using the lockdown to track down some of the highest-profile people he's been longing to talk to – from all walks of life and on both sides of the Atlantic. Having launched barely a week ago, Theroux’s first guest is writer and documentary filmmaker Jon Ronson – who’s holed up in New York – to discuss their professional rivalry and how Jon is handling the lockdown. Fans of The Adam Buxton Podcast or WTF with Marc Maron will love this.

This new show is a light-hearted yet penetrative look at one of modern society’s longest-lasting taboos – divorce. Hosted by comedian and author Samantha Baines, who recently got divorced (don't worry she's fine, she says), the first guest to grace the airwaves is fellow comedian and divorcee Sarah Miillican.
