Warehouse Project, Manchester

The Warehouse Project returns this September for its biggest season yet. Between 10th September 2021 and 1st January 2022, Manchester’s Depot Mayfield plans to celebrate the long-awaited returning of the dancefloor. To mark the occasion, the team has planned an expanded edition for this year’s event, with four packed months of music. Acts across event include the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Nile Rogers & Chic, Migos, Erik Prydz and Four Tet.

St Vincent, Eventim Apollo

One of the best live guitarists we’ve ever seen, St Vincent has just announced two UK dates for 2022 – one in Edinburgh and the other in London. We’ve loved Annie Clarke for years, and her latest album Daddy’s Home is even better than we’d hoped for. Inspired by 70s America – something that’s also referenced in her new wavy blonde bob – it’s become one of our sounds of our summer, and we imagine will be every bit as good live.

The Weeknd, The O2

One of the biggest artists of the 2010s, The Weeknd has rescheduled his run on shows at The O2 for next year. The multi-platinum singer released The Highlights, a collection of his most notable works in February this year ahead of his halftime performance for Super Bowl LV. The epic show – for which he spent $7m of his own money – recreated a moody neon atmosphere reminiscent of Sin City and included a floating black convertible, an eerily bandaged dance troupe with handheld lights and a cityscape set located in the stadium's bleachers. We’re expecting more of the same energy and theatrics at these shows, too.

Celeste, Roundhouse

Influenced by legendary artists like Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald, Celeste got her start in music in 2014 providing vocals on tracks for electronic producers like Avicii. The singer-songwriter won BBC Music's Sound Of 2020 and the Rising Star award at the Brits, was the singer behind John Lewis’s 2020 Christmas campaign, performed at this year’s Oscars ceremony and released her debut album Not Your Muse at the start of the year. To support it, she played a string of five shows at London’s Union Chapel this month, but also has a seven-city UK tour set for spring 2022.

Arlo Parks, Shepherd’s Bush Empire

With Breakthrough Artists at this year’s Brit Awards and BBC Introducing Artist of the Year award to her name, Arlo Parks has had a great 2021 so far. And this winter, she’ll perform her biggest headline show to date in celebration of her critically acclaimed debut album, Collapsed In Sunbeams. A singer-songwriter from London, in her own words, she spent most of school feeling like the Black kid who couldn't dance, listening to too much emo music and crushing on girls in her Spanish class. Inspired by everyone from Portishead to Earl Sweatshirt, her songs are confessional and tender, and her voice is one of the most gorgeous we’ve heard in years.

Caribou, O2 Academy Brixton

Dance fans, take note. After six years away, Canadian producer Caribou – aka Dan Snaith – is welcoming in a new era with new music and a fresh set of tour dates for 2021. Expect an evening of warmth, technicolour and plenty of dancing at this headline Brixton show.

Haim, The O2

Following the release of their critically acclaimed third studio album, Women In Music Pt. III, Haim has announced a run of rescheduled headline dates for September. The ‘One More Haim Tour’ will see the band perform their biggest UK shows to date. It will be a long-awaited return for the Californian sisters, who sold out Alexandra Palace twice the last time they were in the UK and were set to headline Latitude festival last summer before coronavirus forced its cancellation. WIMPIII topped the UK album chart upon its release last year, so we’re expecting great things from the live version.

Billie Eilish, The O2

Vogue cover star, seven-time Grammy winner and 2019’s biggest-selling artist in North America, Billie Eilish is coming for The O2 next summer. Part of her Happier Than Ever world tour, we’re expecting something completely different to her previous neo-gothic performances and look. To help create an eco-conscious environment both backstage and for her fans, Eilish will allow fans to bring re-fillable water bottles to the shows, water-stations will be available at every venue for both attendees and crew backstage, and plastic straws will not be permitted.

Lady Gaga, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Songwriter, singer, actress, fashion designer and Oscar winner Lady Gaga released her sixth album Chromatica in May 2020, marking her most personal collection and a return to her dance-pop days. The Chromatica Ball Tour was meant to take place last summer, but has been postponed to summer 2022 due to the pandemic. While the official date is yet to be announced, this is set to be just the show to book if you’ve been missing high-drama musical productions and pure pop hits.

The Killers, Emirates Stadium

For the Las Vegas band’s sixth album, 2020's Imploding The Mirage, The Killers had become a duo. After initially scrapping six-month-worth of material, the pair decided to team up with a selection of special guests, including KD Lang, War On Drugs' Adam Granduciel, Natalie Mering of Weyes Blood and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham. In celebration of its release, the band announced the Imploding The Mirage Tour, which has now been rescheduled to summer 2022. Excellent news for anyone looking to relive the summer of 2004 via the band’s string of hits.
