In The Know: Cool Things For Parents & Kids
The Tiger Who Came To Tea – Afternoon Tea
The Savoy has partnered with HarperCollins Children’s Books to launch a children’s afternoon tea themed around The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Launched as part of the 50th anniversary of Judith Kerr’s treasured classic, the iconic picture book is the inspiration for a feast of teatime treats, drawn from the tea that Sophie shared with the visiting tiger: think child-friendly sandwiches, tiger-striped scones and pastries that playfully reference moments in the story.

Anine Bing Kids
It’s no secret that one of SL’s favourite designers is Anine Bing. For anyone with kids – or cool nieces and nephews between the ages of two and ten – her range for children, Bing Kids, is just as stylish. We’re a big fan of its unisex Motley Moto jacket (€359), inspired by the cult favourite leather jacket of its parent brand. Pair it with Sadie leggings and an Eagle tee for a full-on rock look for your little one.

Mums Know Best
Mum Knows Best (MKB) is a collection of family recipes and a community of food-loving families, started by Natasha Corrett. After having her little boy Rudy she wanted to connect with other mums around the world through the love of food. MKB is about inspiring mums to cook simple meals from scratch on a daily basis, finding recipes that the whole family can enjoy from the weaning stage through to toddler meals, lunch boxes and family meals. Our favourite recipes include cauliflower wings with BBQ sauce and ‘All the Veggies’ bolognese.

The Mother Of All Jobs
When Christine Armstrong became a mother, it never occurred to her that she would want to give up her job. But the truth is, combining work and small kids is hard, and when Christine tried it, she found herself desolate with misery. Determined to find a way forward, she looked for answers by interviewing other working mums and found that she wasn't alone. The Mother of All Jobs brings together the wisdom of the women who opened up about everything (and we mean everything) into a manifesto for happy professional families. Ignoring the glossy lives presented on social media, this book shows that, while it's not always pretty, working parents can thrive if they have the knowledge others learnt the hard way.

Mini Deco
Minideco is the shop to turn to if you have children, but also enjoy living in a stylish environment. The store offers a design-conscious range of toys, bedding, room decor, accessories and much more for babies and children, while keeping in mind that a child’s surroundings need to stay friendly and support their natural development. We especially like its range of furniture and room decor which provides a Scandi approach to kids’ rooms. We’ve got out eye on everything from Danish design company OYOY.
