What’s In My Ocado Order

A lot of us are a bit stuck in a rut when it comes to our weekly food shops, but what if you could have a nosy at someone else’s online shop for some fresh inspiration? For the first in our new series, we’ve taken a peek at SL Founder Georgie Coleridge Cole’s Ocado. From snacks and work lunches to speedy suppers, here's what she orders time and again.

FRIDGE STAPLES

Parma ham – I could live off it. With courgetti, grilled and in a salad or just fresh out the packet.

Bresaola – Served with rocket, parmesan and balsamic glaze (this is a regular buy).

Leerdammer Light cheese slices – For a healthy cheese fix.

Philadelphia Light – With pesto and gnocchi it's the quickest children's tea.

Sabra hummus and baba ganoush – The best.

Waitrose Char Siu Buns – My favourite work lunch. They take 60 seconds in the microwave, are low fat and soooo good.

Smoked mackerel – My husband’s favourite pre-lunch nibble on a Sunday. Add Philadelphia Light, hot horseradish, chilli cayenne pepper and lemon.

Higgidy quiche – A staple Saturday lunch.

Cauldron Middle Eastern Falafels – Such a good snack or as a canape with houmous on the side.

Cornish white crab meat, coriander, avocado, chilli, lime – All this combined and served on sourdough for Sunday night supper.

FRUIT & VEG

Fresh aubergines – Always in my order. I eat them roasted at least twice a week with a bit of miso paste (always in the cupboard too) and mirin.

Rocket and lambs leaf lettuce – The perfect combo. I eat rocket straight out the bag.

Sugar snap peas – I get through a bag raw, in seconds.

Pink Lady Apples – The most expensive but worth it. Apple and marmite (try it!) is a firm favourite to satisfy a sweet and savoury craving.

So many carrots – Always, all the time. Raw with dips and a G&T is the best start to the evening.

A large watermelon – We nearly always have one on the go.

Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love popcorn!

CUPBOARD ESSENTIALS

Fry Light – I don’t really tend to cook with olive oil. I’ve used this one-calorie spray for years.

Lucy’s Dressings – The Lime & Chilli Asian dressing is great in a salad with edamame beans or with a stir fry.

Kallo Corn Cakes, Meridian peanut butter and bananas – My daily breakfast. We buy the big pots of peanut butter because we go through it so fast.

Merchant Gourmet Glorious Grains – Great with a salmon fillet and something green, or just in a big salad.

Hovis Seed Sensations Seven Seeds – The best bread. Especially the crusts because they’re full of seeds.

FOR THE SNACK CUPBOARD

Penn-State Pretzels – Salted and sour cream & chive.

Tyrells Poshcorn – Anyone who knows me knows how much I love popcorn.

Popchips Barbeque Popped Potato Crisps – I love a pop chip! Especially barbeque dipped in tzatsiki.

Funsize bags of Maltesers – I have a packet every night after supper.

My husband makes the best virgin and Bloody Marys. Although we have them with gin which makes them Red Snappers.

DRINKS

Rustenberg Chardonnay, Stellenbosch – When it’s on special offer. It tastes expensive and everyone loves it.

Fever Tree Light Tonic – Because we drink too much gin.

Big Tom Spiced Tomato Juice – My husband makes the best virgin and Bloody Marys. Although we have them with gin, which makes them Red Snappers.

Robinsons Pink Grapefruit & Barley No Added Sugar squash – I don’t really like water so this is how I get myself to drink it!

MUST-HAVES FOR THE FREEZER

Itsu Frozen Gyozas – So useful to have in the freezer. Pan fry or microwave in a few minutes.

Pizza Express margherita pizzas – For the children’s tea on a Friday.

PLUS…

Clarence Court eggs, Yeo Valley natural yoghurt, tzatziki, hot salsa, courgettes, vine tomatoes (have to be vine), cucumber, mushrooms, frozen petit pois, blueberries, grapes, raspberries, raisins and oats… Now, what have I forgotten?
