For Endorphins…
“Physical activity is a proven way to bump up the production of your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins. It also reduces stress hormones. When I’m in need of an energy-boosting workout, I head to Ride Republic in Fulham for a spin class. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with spinning – it’s tough, but I always feel so accomplished and full of energy afterwards. At Ride Republic, there’s the option to go on the leaderboard during a class, which is great if I’m in a competitive mood. Seeing your output on the board keeps you focused throughout your ride and pushes you that little bit more.”
For Pilates…
“I’ve been going to Paola’s Body Barre for years – it’s intense, but so worth it. The signature class is high energy yet low impact. It’s a combination of Pilates, yoga and ballet barre which targets the deep, stabilising muscles to give you a strong, sculpted body. I alternate between the Signature and Dynamic Pilates Barre classes, the latter being a more authentic Pilates session. I’ve also been enjoying Pilates classes at The Nobu Hotel and reformer sessions at the NY-inspired KARVE. Classes are carried out on bespoke spring-loaded machines and focus on building slow-twitch muscle fibres to tone and kickstart the metabolism.”
For Something New…
“KXU in Chelsea is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit – it’s next on my list. I’ve heard such good things about the classes, and I love the fact you can book them on a pay-as-you-go basis without having to commit to a membership. It’s the sister club of KX, the members health and fitness club, making KXU a way to get a flavour of the luxury without breaking the bank. The facilities are impressive, too – the Medi Spa offers unique treatments including cryotherapy, which is something I’m keen to try.”

For A Saturday Afternoon…
“When I have time, I love going to Chelsea Harbour Club for the afternoon. The spa, sauna and steam are glorious. There are also three pools and treatment rooms for facials and massages. If I’m not there, you’ll find me at White City House. The pool is underground, which instantly makes me feel calm and disconnected from the hustle and bustle of the city.”
For Unwinding…
“I recently did an event at The Londoner and had a sneak peek at The Retreat. An urban sanctuary, the results-driven spa offers treatments by Omorovicza, Ishga and Ila, and the state-of-the-art gym is run in collaboration with SB Wellness to offer personal training sessions. It’s on my list for a day of R&R. When I’m feeling stressed, I also love to walk along the Thames. I try to make time for it every weekend if time allows. Something about being near the water makes me feel calm and gives me headspace.”
