The Rehab:

Ten

Founder Joanne Matthews was inspired to create Ten after a car accident left her with back and pelvic injuries. Since 2007, Ten has become known in London for building – and rebuilding – stronger bodies. Its PTs, Pilates instructors, rehab specialists, physios and massage therapists work collaboratively to bring you back to peak fitness. Launching imminently is Ten’s flagship studio in the heart of King’s Cross. As well as its renowned reformer classes, physio and PT sessions, you’ll also find a brand-new wellness offering – think infrared saunas, cryotherapy, hyperbaric therapy and IV infusions.

JAB

Founded by former England boxing team captain and ex-Bodyism trainer George Veness, Jab’s Mayfair club is one of the capital’s coolest spots to break a sweat. For the first time, it will be heading east for an exclusive, one-month residency at The Curtain Club, the members club at Mondrian Shoreditch. Running until 5th February, the residency is open to members, hotel guests and the public. Sessions include a mix of bag work and mat work for an authentic boxing experience. Prices range from £27.50 for a single session drop-in to £120 for one-to-one personal training.

The Kit:

Boxx

Throwing hooks, jabs and uppercuts is known to chisel and sculpt the body, making boxing one of the most effective workouts out there. If you’re keen to get into it this year, online platform Boxx has you covered. As well as an interactive app offering hundreds of on-demand workouts – including boxing, strength, conditioning and recovery – the recently launched Punch Pods show you your metrics in real time to help you track your progress. Worn in your boxing wraps, the pods track your speed and effort in any given workout – perfect for some friendly competition in live leaderboard classes.

Its hero trainers – the Hylo Light – are made from just 16 components for a lightweight and flexible feel, and the knitted fabric is both comfortable and provides ventilation in any weather. Plus, they’re machine washable.
