What’s New In Interiors This Month

The interiors world is brimming with new products, exclusive launches and one-off collections. From handmade home accessories to designer collaborations, here’s everything to have on your radar this December.

Aller Home

Following multiple enquiries from happy staycationers who have spent time at her luxury huts on her farm in Dorset, Cat Wickins decided to launch a boutique homeware brand selling some of the gorgeous finishing touches she has used to decorate them. From wavy headboards to ruffle cushions, pretty splatterware to twist candles, Cat’s edit suits homes in the country or the city.

Samantha Todhunter x Bert & May

Ric Rac is the latest joint collection from Bert & May and designer Samantha Todhunter. Nodding to the tile brand’s Andalusian heritage, Samantha has created a collection inspired by the Spanish dancing skirts she used to make as a child for school, sewing lines of colourful ric rac ribbon along their flirty edges. The design is also a subtle way of paying homage to the indefatigable scallop.

Batch

Batch makes bespoke glass lighting using traditional methods. Producing in small batches – hence the name! – the brand is big on British glassmaking heritage and attention to detail, but the designs are contemporary. Made using a Venetian cane technique, but updated with a soft wash of colour and simple form, its Humbug styles complement both contemporary and traditional interiors. The Lantern collection was inspired by the street gas lighting prevalent at the turn of the century, as well as traditional mould-blown art-deco street lighting.

Lee Broom

Internationally known for his lighting and furniture collections, Lee Broom has just launched a range of scented candles. Each candle comprises two elements that fit seamlessly together: an elegant cubist candle holder, hand-crafted in solid optical crystal; and the aluminium vessel – finished in either polished gunmetal or gold – that contains the candle itself.

Pairing bold prints with vintage florals, it creates beautiful table linen, as well as fresh ceramics from South Africa and France. The latest addition to Anissa Kermiche’s homeware collection are these brightly coloured Ich Liebe Dishes. With a wordplay on the German for ‘I love you’, they make a lovely addition to any table. The sculpted torsos can hold after-dinner treats and also work well as a place to hold your jewellery at the end of each evening.
