Interiors: Get The Look
The Starting Point
“In this image, you can see a snippet of the rug which was the starting point for this scheme,” says Anna. “It’s a beautiful Persian rug from Lilla Rugs." From this textile design, Anna built the colour palette and created the overall feel for the room.
Bringing Character To The Scheme
The armchair is an iconic Czechoslovakian design by Jindrich Halabala. “It has been restored and recovered in a fabric by GP & J Baker, with a contrasting teal blue piping. I always like sourcing antique armchairs for bedrooms, to add character and create a lived-in feel. The ceiling pendant is an Italian mid-century chandelier by Sciolari from Milos Antiques – something to add a touch of old school glamour.”
Adding Interest With Unexpected Details
The pretty double fluted chest is Trove by Studio Duggan and painted in Farrow & Ball Setting Plaster. “It has very sweet antique drop handles which I love,” notes Anna. Meanwhile, the bedspread is from Susan Deliss, who sources vintage fabrics to offer one of kind bedspreads, rugs and throws. “The headboard, which is just out of shot, was custom made for the project. It is covered in lovely tactile navy mohair fabric by Claremont Furnishing.”
