This is early 20th-century mahogany and marble chest of drawers is a superb example of the period. It’s in excellent condition with clean, even coloured timber, although the marble has a few age-related minor marks. Finally, the brass accents in the handles and the feet caps add a decorative feel.

We love the refined curves and delicate buttoning on this two-and-a-half seater sofa from Swedish master Carl Malmsten, produced in his own workshop in the 1950s. Today, it’s been reupholstered in luxurious Italian bouclé wool fabric by Dedar and has walnut-stained beech legs.
