24 Antiques We Love This Month

Marble Plant Stand, £365

Dating from the 1960s, this vintage marble plant stand comes in a soft pink hue with light coloured veining. Beautiful as either a glamorous plant stand or to display a sculpture or objet, this Italian pillar is right on trend.

Fossil Stone & Lucite Coffee Table, £625

This striking one-off coffee table comprises a heavy slab of marble resting on a set of Lucite legs. Visible fossils and crustaceans within the marble slab make the table highly unusual and extremely eye-catching.

Travertine Coffee Table, £650

Travertine is one of 2022’s most sought-after materials, and this rectangular post-modern coffee table is a great example of how to use it in your home. Its two angled legs add a point of interest, while the pale colour make it a great neutral piece.

Woven Rattan Room Divider, £595

Another piece made from on-trend rattan, this vintage room divider comes with six leaves. The woven structure is sturdy and well made, and has retained its original 1970s colouring. Ideal for sectioning off a room or adding a touch of privacy to a larger space.

Pair Of Round Ottomans, £2,130

Made from glossy rosewood frames, these striking ottomans have Italian wool-covered seats that sit within solid brass inserts. Ideal in a bedroom or living room, the pair would work with a range of interior styles, from traditional period through to contemporary.

Carimate Carver Chair, £550

This is another of those in-demand ‘Carimate’ chairs designed by architect Vico Magistretti. This ‘Carver’ version comes with arms and its original dark wood stain from the 1960s, and the rush seat – which is in perfect condition – has a flash of light green running through it. Florida Bench, £1,350

This pine spindle bench with curving arms is known as the ‘Florida bench’. Designed and produced in the 1950s by Wigells Stolfabrik, it’s a beautiful period piece that blurs the line between antique and modern, and would look great anywhere from a hallway to a kitchen.

Travertine Dining Table, POA

A special piece from interior designers Albion Nord, this is one of the team’s most recent vintage finds. A mid-century statement design, this Angelo Mangiarotti pedestal dining table is in pristine condition and made from travertine.

Victorian Hall Chair, £325

This Victorian mahogany hall chair has elegant hand-carved legs, ball feet and a caned seat. Tapping into the ‘cottagecore’ trend, the chair comes with a handmade tie-back seat cushion with a gathered frill edge in a 1980s Laura Ashley print fabric.

Art Deco Rattan Armchairs, £640

These art-deco rattan lounge armchairs come from France and date to the early-mid 20th century. Both chairs are in good order and would make an excellent addition to a conservatory or bedroom.

Chest Of Drawers, £3,250

This is a lovely 19th-century, Gustavian-style breakfront chest of drawers. It has a grey patina and features a dentil frieze top with canted and fluted front corners, raised on shaped square tapered and fluted feet. Dating to around 1850, this Swedish piece would look lovely in a kitchen or bedroom.
