Soho eatery The Palomar has launched a lunch set menu. On Monday to Friday from noon to 5:30pm, guests can enjoy three courses of Palomar’s ‘modern Jerusalem’ plates. Among the old favourites, there are some new additions – like chicken labanieh with yoghurt sauce, chilli butter and burnt onion, as well as Persian oxtail stew. Finish with a pine nut tart. Plus, it’s £24pp.

Yoko Ono: Music Of The Mind
Yoko Ono, the multifaceted artist and cultural icon, has often been overshadowed by her fame – not least thanks to her relationship with John Lennon – so much so that her pioneering experimental art of the 20th century remains somewhat unacknowledged. From performance to music, drawing to activism, she has consistently challenged the norms of the time. The Tate Modern is correcting this oversight with an exhibition showcasing her works, including instruction pieces, films and interactive installations that invite audience participation. Among her pieces is ‘Wish Trees For London’, which urges visitors to contribute wishes for peace.

Under an old railway arch by Battersea Park, Archway is a great date-night spot thanks to its chic, minimalist dining room and buzzy atmosphere. Headed up by chef and young talent Lorenzo Nigro, there’s a regularly changing menu showcasing the best local and seasonal produce. New dishes this month include flatbread with wild mushrooms and rocket, crab tagliolini, roasted prawns with ’nduja butter, and cavolo nero and gorgonzola risotto. Back for another year, Kew Gardens orchid festival is taking its inspiration from Madagascar this year – plus, it’s staying open late. Claridge’s restaurant has introduced a Sunday roast menu. The starters are classics: ham hock terrine, gratinated French onion soup, and seabass and crab fishcake. For the main course, you can pick from Norfolk black leg chicken, roasted Herefordshire rib of beef, or porchetta. Expect all the trimmings, including cauliflower and cheese gratin. Desserts include baked meringue tart and apple crumble.It’s £75 for two courses and £90 for three.

Ascot's Spring Family Raceday
Ascot is back and to kick off the season it’s hosting a Spring Family Raceday on 24th March. There will be a seven-race card featuring runners from Cheltenham festival, as well as a return of some old favourites during the Veterans’ chase. Alongside the races, there will also be fun for the children, with an appearance by The Gruffalo, as well as face painting, and arts and crafts. Adult tickets start from £30, with free entry for under-18s.
