Toklas Bakery x Another Pantry Christmas Market
On Sunday 9th December Toklas Bakery on the Strand will welcome pop-up Another Pantry for a one-day Christmas event. Shoppers will find a selection of unique and artisanal gifts, as well as treats to enjoy on the day, from makers, chefs and suppliers, including chocolate from Pump Street, ice-cream sandwiches by Happy Endings, handmade knives from Allday Goods, and wines from Shoreditch’s Passione Vino. Save space for festive sandwiches, mince pies and mulled wine, and take the kids to a workshop, like the gingerbread house decorating class. Later in the day, authors Tara Wigley (How To Butter Toast), Phil Khoury (A New Way to Bake) and Bre Graham (Table for Two) will be on hand to sign and sell copies of their most recent books.

Everyman Screening With Director Q&A
The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, Lost In Translation – director Sofia Coppola has a series of cult classics under her belt. Her new film Priscilla is all about the turbulent relationship between Elvis Presley and his young wife. It’s not out in the UK until January, but Borough Yard’s Everyman cinema is hosting an early screening on Saturday 9th December, followed by an exclusive Q&A session with Coppola herself, led by Edith Bowman as part of the Everyman Soundtracking film club. Kingdom of Winter at the ExCeL Centre opens its doors on Friday 8th December. The capital’s biggest indoor family-friendly winter experience houses a range of attractions under one roof, including an ice rink, a circus, classic fairground rides and an ‘ice expedition’. The King’s Ginger x Pophams Mince Pies
Liqueur brand The King’s Ginger has teamed up with Pophams bakeries to create delicious boozy mince pies. Available to buy from Pophams’ bakeries in London Fields, Islington, and Victoria Park (and online here), Pophams has created the rich, buttery pastries using a classic mix of currants, raisins, sultana, apple, and suet mixed with spices, candied peel and citrus, which has been steeped in The King's Ginger liqueur. The pies are also fed daily with the booze for two months, then stuffed with fresh Cornish clotted cream. The pies are £3.50 each or £20 for six.
