“Autumn is my favourite time to go on a staycation. I’m excited to check into new hotel Hyll (formerly Charingworth Manor) in the Cotswolds later this month. The interiors look incredibly chic, and it’s set on a 60-acre estate so there’s lots to explore. It’s all about slowing down and enjoying the slower pace of the countryside, so I’m looking forward to hunkering down there with a good book (I’ve just started The Names by Florence Knapp).

“I’ve also got my eye on Mad Swans, a new lifestyle destination and hotel in Somerset, from the team behind Beaverbrook. It opens on 1st October and has a golf course, pickleball and padel courts, a driving range, two restaurants and several eco-friendly cabins. I imagine it will be all over Instagram in no time…

“There are so many restaurant openings to look forward to this month (many of which are in our latest feature here), but I’m particularly excited about The Hart in Marylebone, from the same team behind my favourite pubs in London: The Hero in Maida Vale and The Pelican in Notting Hill. This one is even more centrally located on Chiltern Street but will have the group’s signature interiors and hearty pub classics. If the cocktails are anywhere near as good as at the other outposts, we’re in for a real treat.”

“Culture-wise, the BFI London Film Festival is an annual highlight – it’s something I go to every year with my dad. I’m most looking forward to the short film 22+1, which addresses Black maternal trauma. It sounds quite heavy but will no doubt be an important watch. I’ve also got tickets to see SG Lewis at Brixton Academy in December for a much-needed night out. This is your cue to check out his new album, Anemoia, which is full of disco and dance bangers.”

“Having seen Bryan Cranston in Network at the National Theatre in 2017 (and loved it), I am buzzing to see he’s back on the stage in London this autumn. Co-starring with Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Paapa Essiedu in Arthur Miller’s play All My Sons, Cranston plays a self-made businessman whose life takes a turn when dishonest actions in his past threaten to dismantle his family.

“While summer is a time to travel abroad, autumn and winter is when I like to stay closer to home. On my list is a visit to the Fife Arms and the Festival of Fashion might be the reason that gets me to Scotland. Bringing together international talent and key creative voices in the industry, the event celebrates fashion's past, present and, most importantly, future. Inspired by fashion editor Frances Farquharson and fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, this year’s line-up includes Erdem Moralioglu, Clare Waight Keller, Kristina Blahnik, V&A Dundee, Lydia Slater and Justine Picardie.

“Following the opening of its revamped restaurant, Emberwood, in May, the rest of the Francis Hotel refurbishment is due to be completed in mid-November. I couldn’t think of a  overnighter than Bath to get me in the festive mood – its Christmas market is turning 25 this year.

“Finally, the best TV always drop at this time of year and while I might as well buy shares in Apple TV (Slow Horses and The Morning Show are back), I’m already hooked on Black Rabbit with Jude Law and Jason Bateman. All I can say is, if you think you’re having a bad day, it’s nothing compared to these two. I’m also waiting for The Celebrity Traitors and I hope to binge The Girlfriend before any spoilers come my way – I better move fast!”

“As soon as I have a free weekend, I’ll be heading to Carbone for dinner. I absolutely loved the Miami outpost, and I’m beyond excited that there’s now one closer to home. From the moment you walk in, the vibes are cool, modern and inviting, with just the right amount of elegance and energy. And the food… it’s unmatched. Every dish I tried in Miami was a perfect combination of flavour, creativity and presentation, and I can’t wait to see what the new location has to offer. I’m also booking tickets to see Erykah Badu at the Royal Albert Hall in November because her music is more than just songs, it’s a journey. Her voice, her artistry and the way she blends genres is so timeless and personal, and I can’t think of a better venue to see her than at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

“TV-wise, I know I’m not in the only one looking forward to season two of Nobody Wants This. I’ve been an Adam Brody fan since The OC and it was a joy to see him in a role like Noah. The first season was such a good mix of humour, heart and real-life awkwardness. I loved getting to know the characters and seeing their messy, relatable journeys, and I’m excited to see how Joanne and Noah navigate the ups and downs of their relationship this season. The addition of new characters (including Adam’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester) and, no doubt, some unexpected twists, will mean even more laughs and drama.

“I've yet to try the three Michelin-starred restaurant Core by Clare Smyth (partly due to funds, partly due to it always being booked up), so I'm hoping that if I'm quick off the mark I can get in at her new venture Cornucopia which is set to open in November. It's not far from my house, so worst case scenario I'll show up at the door hoping for a walk in.

"I'm also hoping to bag tickets to the new run of The Importance of Being Ernest at the National Theatre, with Olly Alexander taking the lead and Stephen Fry donning a dress as Lady Bracknell. A high-energy, high-camp take on the Oscar Wilde play – Ncuti Gatwa led the last run to high praise, so Olly has big boots to fill. But I have faith he'll be excellent."

"I last went to The Scarlet with my boyfriend in June but I'm already going back this autumn with my mum for an extended girls' weekend. I've been going on and off for the last ten years and I still think it's one of the most reliable hotels in the UK. The rooms are lovely, the food is exceptional and the views of the rugged Cornish coastline are unparalleled.

"This past weekend, I also visited the Marie Antoinette Style exhibition at the V&A in London. It's visually stunning and a fun way to spend an afternoon with your girlfriends – but be warned, this show is more about how Marie Antoinette's style has inspired artists and designers over the years, so don't expect to see lots of items that originally belonged to the French queen. That said, a lot of the diamond jewellery is hers – and that alone is worth the trip.

"This one's a bit niche – but if you're at all into classical music, you really need Jakub Józef Orliński on your radar. The Polish singer is young, cool and shaking up the counter tenor world. His concerts sell out in seconds – but I was lucky enough to snag a ticket to his upcoming appearance at London's Wigmore Hall in a few weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for returns.

“Closer to Christmas, I’ve also booked tickets to David Copperfield at Jermyn Street Theatre. This is honestly one of the capital’s smallest – quite literally underground – theatres but the productions are top notch and the prices reasonable. It’s become a bit of a family tradition to go to the Christmas show every year – previous ‘grown-up’ pantos have included The Odyssey and Madame Bovary. Sounds high-brow but believe me, you end up laughing so much there are tears rolling down your face. On the way back to the station, we’ll pop into Lasdun at the National Theatre for a quick dinner.

"Finally, looking ahead, my fingers are hovering over the keyboard to get tickets to the Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art exhibition at the V&A and to see the Bayeux Tapestry  on display at the British Museum next year. It's coming to the UK for the first time as part of a historic loan agreement between our government and the French. Not to be missed."
