Only Murders In The Building, Season 5, Disney+
One of the most stylish and charming series on TV returns this week as Only Murders In The Building enters its fifth season. Steve Martin (Father of the Bride), Martin Short (The Morning Show) and Selena Gomez (Spring Breakers) team up again to play amateur sleuths Charles, Oliver and Mabel, all of whom find themselves caught up in yet another suspicious death inside their Upper West Side apartment building. The Girlfriend, Prime Video
Fans of psychological thrillers will want to add The Girlfriend to their watchlists. Based on Michelle Frances’s bestselling novel, the series follows Laura (Robin Wright, House of Cards), a successful TV producer whose seemingly perfect life begins to unravel when her son Daniel introduces his new girlfriend, Cherry (Olivia Cooke, Sound of Metal). What starts as an uneasy clash of personalities quickly spirals into obsession and manipulation, as Laura becomes convinced Cherry isn’t who she seems. The tension builds episode by episode, exploring jealousy, power dynamics and the terrifying prospect of losing control over the people you love most. With Wright and Cooke going head-to-head, this is set to be a gripping, character-driven drama full of dark twists and emotional stakes.

FRIDAY
Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale
The Crawley family returns to the big screen for a final Downton Abbey outing. Julian Fellowes’s beloved period drama bids farewell in suitably glamorous fashion, with much of the original cast reprising their roles – Hugh Bonneville (Notting Hill), Michelle Dockery (Anatomy of a Scandal), Elizabeth McGovern (Once Upon a Time in America) and Dame Maggie Smith (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel). Set in the 1930s, the story promises to tie up loose ends while introducing new faces, including Paul Giamatti (Billions), who brings fresh intrigue to the aristocratic household. Expect the same mix of family drama, romance and witty one-liners, with a healthy dose of political change happening in the background. From sweeping country-house vistas to the glamour of London society, this final chapter promises to be an elegant, nostalgic farewell for fans who have followed the Crawleys since the beginning.
