THE FRAGRANCE:

Alto Astral

Alto Astral is Byredo’s biggest eau de parfum launch for 2025. Created by established nose Jérome Epinette, Alto Astral opens with a bright pairing of aldehydes and coconut, while the heart notes bring together jasmine petals, incense and milky musk, plus sandalwood, cashmere wood and salted amber. The result is a scent that balances freshness with familiarity. The fragrance is named after the Brazilian Portuguese expression for an ‘elevated state of mind’, drawing inspiration from the joyful defiance found in everyday moments.

THE RESTAURANT:

Carbone

Carbone is an A-list take on the Italian restaurants that dominated the New York scene back in the middle of the last century. It continues to draw in the stars of today with its period interiors, sense of theatre, impeccable service, and traditional NYC-style Italian-American cooking that’s been taken to the next level by chef Mario Carbone (the meatballs are unmissable but then so are the spicy rigatoni vodka and veal parmesan). Now, the full Carbone experience is coming to London. Taking over a corner of the old American Embassy on Grosvenor Square, this new-school Carbone will offer all the hallmarks of the Greenwich Village original – with a handful of London-only dishes alongside the kitchen's greatest hits.

Michael Kors AW25

The Michael Kors Fall 2025 campaign brings Rome to life through the lens of Lachlan Bailey, and stars Suki Waterhouse and Logan Lerman. The collection is a masterclass in statement dressing: think tailored outerwear in rich autumnal tones, fringed jackets that catch the light with every movemen, and reimagined silhouettes of the brand’s iconic Nolita and Hamilton bags. Luxe knits, structured blazers and versatile layering pieces are styled with an ease that feels entirely modern, with each outfit making a subtle nod to Roman elegance.
