Skincare
I’ll never be without Garnier’s Micellar Water. It’s perfect for a speedy morning cleanse and it’s effective at removing stubborn dirt. At night, I’ll amp it up with Elemis’ Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm – very few beat this buttery formula. For daytime, I’m loving Garnier’s Vitamin C Brightening Serum which protects skin and boosts radiance. On top, I like to apply Sali Hughes X Revolution’s Cream Drench Moisturiser. I have sensitive skin but it’s tolerating both right now. If I need to kick my skin into gear, I’ll apply a layer of Sunday Riley’s Good Genes Treatment. It brightens and gives a fresh-from-a-facial glow. My current favourite SPF has to be Clarins’ UV Plus. Completely translucent, it’s thin and watery so it never interferes with any other products you use. I love how hydrating it feels, too.
Haircare
You’ll never find me without a WetBrush. Nothing is as gentle or efficient at smoothing hair. I also love the Tort combs for the wide prongs which make light work of tangles. I rarely use heated tools, but when I do, it’s always ghd’s Rise Hot Brush which is easy to use for effortless-looking waves. The Lore Shampoo & Conditioner is my favourite for keeping hair healthy and soft. Newer discoveries include Larry King’s My Nanna’s Mousse which provides a blow-dry bounce, plus R+Co’s Gemstone Glossing Treatment for shine that’s hard to achieve when you have blonde hair. Finally, I am obsessed with Davines' new OI Liquid Luster. You squeeze it onto damp hair, leave it on for five minutes, then rinse it off before blow-drying. It works by providing an invisible film that seals in moisture and makes strands more manageable. Add that to the fact it helps hair feel full-bodied and you’ve got a treatment that ticks all the right boxes.
Brushes
These are the only brushes I use. The iT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Brush is the best for foundation and concealer application – no question. For smoothing out skin tone, I’ll turn to SIGMA’s Flat Kabuki if it’s needed. When it comes to blusher, bronzer or highlighter, I use my Too Faced Kabuki Brush. It’s the best one I’ve ever used, but it’s sadly been discontinued so I am eking out its lifespan. With self-tan, I love the Real Techniques Face & Body Blender. The bristles are so soft but densely packed to grab the right amount of product for an even, smooth blend.
Foundation + Concealer
My base make-up has stayed the same for years. I’ll always turn to Clinique’s Even Better Foundation for full coverage, and when I want something lighter, it’s iT Cosmetic’s CC. For touch-ups and to hide darkness, Laura Mercier’s Flawless Fusion Concealer is my favourite of all time. It’s so creamy and it never hardens throughout the day, unlike others I’ve tried. On days when I want just a hint of something, I love to apply Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow. It’s a pretty illuminator with tiny shimmer particles. Just a small amount gives life and easy definition to dull skin.
Eyes + Brows
I alternate between Lancôme’s Lash Idole and Maybelline’s Sky High Mascara. The former is great for separation and definition, while the latter is the best for length and volume. To get a tinted lash effect, I am loving 19/99’s Mascara for something more subtle – it’s ideal for hay fever sufferers as it’s minimal as well as budge proof. The Hourglass Voyeur Waterproof Gel Liners are my newest eye addition – velvety, they glide on easily and blend out with fingers or a brush, while the vividness of each colour is hugely impressive. As for brows, I am a huge advocate of Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Brow Freeze for its ability to whip hair into place and hold it there. Recently though, it’s been rivalled by the Too Faced Fluff & Hold Gel. Designed to give a laminated effect, the wand is soaked in a slightly tacky liquid that instantly grooms hairs and gives them a slick, brushed-up finish. You might find this is enough on its own, but those with lighter hair might like to layer it with a tinted gel or pencil.
Lips
For neutral, matte lipsticks, I always turn to the Lipstick Queen – it has tones that suit everyone. When I am taking the time to add shape and definition to my lips, it’s with Vieve’s Modern Lip Definers. Creamy and full of colour, they are so easy to use and never look too drawn on. If I’m after an everyday red, it’s Gucci’s Goldie Red – an orangey coral – or Bobbi Brown’s Crushed Lip Oil in Rock & Red. For soft lips, you can’t beat the Gisou Lip Oil. It’s expensive, but it works better than any other lip balm I’ve tried.
Nails
I’m fussy with nail shades and rarely wear anything other than neutrals. My two favourites are by Leighton Denny – Blush At First Sight and Kure Bazaar in French Rose Glow. They give fingertips a clean, groomed effect with a rosy glow that’s minimal effort. If I do want some colour, it’s Dior’s Polish in Red Smile, which flatters all skin tones. For a top coat, it’s CND’s Vinylux every time – glossy and high-shine, it’s unbeatable. I also swear by the Navy Pro Cuticle Balm for dry, ragged skin. Not only does it smell incredible, it feels like applying butter to your skin – easily the best cuticle treatment out there. To trim cuticles, I like these nippers from Brushworks, and if I ever remove my own gels, it’s with Mylee’s Magic Gel Remover. You just put a small blob on each nail and it quickly dissolves the gel – you just have to push it away gently with an orange stick.
Fragrances
Stories Parfum No.02 is a recent discovery for me, but I can’t get enough of it. I’m already over halfway through – it’s green and woody and I love that it was designed to resonate with everyone. For something warmer, I always reach for Le Labo’s BAIE 19 on a night out. I have a bottle of Kiehl’s Original Musk on the go, too. It has a creamy, smokiness I can’t get enough of. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Sunny Side Up by Juliette Has A Gun has long been my go-to for summer. It’s powdery with a clean feel, thanks to vanilla, coconut and sandalwood – it’s a true compliment earner. If I want a quick refresh, I love Nivea’s Sun EDT. It’s not the prettiest bottle, but it smells of SPF, holidays and pure nostalgia – plus, it’s only £21.
