This Is Officially Autumn’s Coolest Beauty Range

A new season means a whole spate of new make-up launches, but when it comes to what really stands out, Marc Jacobs Beauty is the name on the industry’s lips right now…
CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HARVEY NICHOLS

The brand’s latest collection, Leopard Frost – available exclusively at Harvey Nichols now, until it launches worldwide in December – has officially earned the title of autumn’s coolest range. Not only is the ultra-sleek packaging adorned with this AW18’s most on-trend print  (leopard, of course) but the campaign marks Lila Moss’ first foray into modelling. With her mother, Kate Moss, and Marc Jacob’s friendship dating back to the 90s, choosing 16-year-old Lila as the face of the range was a genius touch.

As for the range itself, Jacobs says it’s all about “embracing your animal instincts”. It comprises an eyes palette and five lipstick shades – all of which are new ‘frosted’ formulations in limited edition new shades – and already has us planning sultry evening looks (that’s our party season beauty, sorted).

Featuring seven high-impact pigment eyeshadows (four shimmers and two mattes) the Eye-conic Frost Eye Palette is a real showstopper. The shimmer shades – a frosted pale peach, bronzed chestnut, icy gold and metallic cranberry – are smooth, buttery and finely-milled; giving a ‘glowing’ effect with no glitter, chunkiness or fall-out in sight. Whilst the mattes – a deep coffee-chocolate and a surprisingly wearable khaki – are ultra-creamy and blendable.

The Le Marc Leopard Frost Lip Crème Lipsticks have also got the make-up world talking – convincing even the most dubious of beauty editors that frosted lipsticks can work in 2018 (provided they have the cutting-edge formula Marc Jacobs Beauty delivers on). Forget any 80s connotations, the Leopard Frost Lip Crèmes are fresh, youthful and seriously flattering – giving lips a sensual shine, without a hint of glitter, and packed with a cocktail of hydrating and smoothing ingredients including collagen-boosting peptides, nourishing cocoa butter and antioxidant-rich seaberry.

Each of the five shades – an iced baby pink (‘Diva’, as seen on Lila), golden rosy peach (‘Sugar Sugar’), warm deep peach (‘Just Peachy’), bronzey russet (‘Cher-ished’) and frosted taupe (‘Detox’, so 90s) – has a decadent metallic sheen, and subtle vanilla taste and scent designed to mimic a decadent dessert.

Like what you see? Don’t sleep on it – as the range is limited edition and only available at Harvey Nichols right now (in-store and online at HarveyNichols.com), we doubt it will be in stock for long.
