13 New Beauty Discoveries On Instagram

You know a new beauty product is making waves when it’s all over Instagram. Whether it’s the fresh-from-the-runway looks or the latest innovations in skincare, we put some of the most-hyped products to the test...

1

Biologique Recherche Lotion P50, POR

Why You’ll Love It: This cult product is hard to get hold of, but if you can, it’s seriously worth it. Formulated 40 years ago in a Parisian research lab,  it uses a high concentration of vitamins, minerals and botanicals to hydrate, but also exfoliate the skin for better clarity and smoothness. Another reason it’s so popular – especially among A-listers – is it's pH-balanced, which means it never disrupts the skin’s protective barrier or causes inflammation. Use it morning and night for best results.

Boscia Cherry Blossom and Bakuchiol Lip Repair, $20

Why You’ll Love It: Dry, flaky lips are no match for this bakuchiol-rich (a plant-derived form of retinol) balm. It’s expensive, but if you’re so inclined, it uses a high dose of exfoliating AHAs to smooth away chapped skin. One of the few balms we’ve tried that delivers long-term. We love the plump, glossy finish it leaves behind, too.

3

Ciate Dewy Blushers, £19

Why You’ll Love Them: These pigmented cream blushers are seriously hyped – and for good reason. Dewy in texture, with rich colour, you’ll find they go the distance with a fresh, glossy sheen that’s unbeatable. We love the suits-all ‘Papaya’ shade for a healthy-looking glow.

4

DpHue Gloss+ Sheer Conditioner, £31

Why You’ll Love It: If you want to preserve the colour of your hair throughout lockdown 3.0, or are seeking extra shine, this is worth a try. A deep conditioning treatment that can be left on for anywhere between three and 20 minutes, think of it like a glossing treatment – but one that deeply hydrates and nourishes, too. Expect softer, more illuminated results after just a couple of uses. The best bit? It’s free of harsh peroxides and damaging ammonia – which are typically found in other shine-enhancing treatments.

5

Fraîcheur Ice Globes, $76 (were $128)

Why You’ll Love Them: Ice globes are having a moment right now. Designed to bring down puffiness and inflammation in the skin, take them out of your freezer and gently roll them around your face. The ice-cold temperatures work to temporarily dilate enlarged blood vessels. The result? Smoother, fresher-looking skin that feels calmer and not so tight. It’s a temporary fix, but an addictive one nonetheless. They might be at the pricier end, but you can find plenty alternatives online for under £15.

Hair Gains Supplements, £34.99

Why You’ll Love Them: These supplements are everywhere at the moment. Loved by industry insiders, they’re the latest remedy for promoting better, healthier hair growth. Available as both supplements and gummies, they use ingredients derived from organic pea shoots (as well as biotin and zinc) to stimulate cells and kick-start fuller, thicker results. While we’re often sceptical about these types of treatments, we’ve been trialling them ourselves for three weeks and are seriously impressed with the results.

Necessaire The Body Wash in Sandalwood, £19.56

Why You’ll Love It: Dubbed ‘the best body wash on the market’, this has a rich gel texture that foams up nicely, hydrating the skin quickly with a flood of vitamins. The sandalwood scent is highly addictive, too – think warm and cosy with a musky quality. The best bit? It doubles up as a bubble bath, too. Just pour a few drops into your tub to reap the benefits of this pH-balanced formula. The eucalyptus fragrance is worth looking out for, too – especially if you suffer with headaches or colds.

Nomad Noe Candles, £55

Why You’ll Love Them: We’re always on the hunt for new candles that are potent, but not full of chemicals. Cue new brand Nomad Noe which has been spied in plenty of flat lays, thanks to the streamlined packaging and coloured, ceramic lids. Made from coconut and apricot wax, they’re free of anything nasty and give off strong scents that fill any room. Our favourite? Look out for ‘Dreamer,’ which is smoky, sweet and warming, and includes notes of vanilla, tobacco and cedar.

PSA Light Up Rinse-Off Mask, £31

Why You’ll Love It: If your complexion is looking (or feeling) dull and tired, check out this new mask from niche brand PSA. With high levels of vitamin C, it resurfaces dead skin cells for a brightening effect, while hyaluronic acid and grapeseed oil work to nourish the skin, counteracting any inflammation. Leave it on for five minutes – or longer if you need more of a boost – and you’ll begin to see the glow-giving effects. The entire brand is worth having on your radar, too – look out for their skin-loving serums which are designed to target individual concerns and needs.

Hermès Rouge Matte Lipstick, £58

Why You’ll Love Them: Hermès are known for their collectable items, so it’s no wonder their lipstick range is hugely covetable, too. They’re pricey, but impressive, with aesthetically pleasing tubes and velvet-y textured bullets. Each one has a matte dry down, but with just enough of a balm-y texture so lips don’t feel flaky or dry. As for the pigment, it’s as rich as you’d expect, with some beautiful colours on offer in the ranfe. They also give a satisfyingly plump effect – a must-try if you love your lipstick.

Versed Gentle Cycle Milky Cleanser, £13

Why You’ll Love It: PH-balanced, this gentle cleanser was designed with protecting the skin’s delicate barrier in mind. It uses oat milk, probiotics and marula oil to moisturise, prevent breakouts and smooth dryness – all while swiftly removing dirt and make-up. It’s thick, too, so you’ll never have to double cleanse – just one layer of this whipped texture is enough. Bonus points for the recyclable packaging, too.
