Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic Acid Mist, £17.74
Like an instant shot of hydration for your skin, this quick-fix mist is brimming with hyaluronic acid and lipopetide serum. The latter works to strengthen your skin’s barrier, while hyaluronic locks in moisture and holds it there long term. Whether you spritz it onto freshly cleansed skin, or apply it throughout the day over make-up, you’ll see the luminosity-boosting benefits first hand. Ideal for prepping skin for make-up, it also promises to instantly relieve any feelings of tightness – a common complaint in cold weather.

Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion, £33
I love a good body lotion, and despite the numerous options on the market these days, this is one I come back to time and again. Non-sticky and quick to absorb, ingredients like shea butter and plant extracts soak up dryness and soothe irritation or soreness. Even when my shins have been seriously dry, this has brought them back from the brink – it’s designed to strengthen your skin’s hydrolipidic film by locking in moisture and holding it there. I love that the entire tube is recyclable as well – even the flip cap.

Tan-Luxe Super Glow Hyaluronic Self-Tan Serum, £35
A bit of faux glow is always welcome at this time of year. I love the entire Tan-Luxe range, but these Hyaluronic Drops are my go-to. Simply add a few to your moisturiser, serum or facial oil to build a gradual, olive-toned colour that’s never too OTT. Extra points go to the hydrating formula – think hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and cocoa seeds – which help to keep dryness at bay. Also, try mixing a little with your foundation to build a bit of glow throughout the day.

CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water, £10
If you’re a micellar water fan like me, you’ll love this one from CeraVe. Like all its products, it’s been created with sensitive skin types in mind, so it never causes irritation or excess dryness. Full of plumping ceramides and soothing niacinamide, it’s incredibly gentle and effective at removing every ounce of make-up, as well as general product build-up. What’s more, it also locks in moisture to ensure maximum hydration long after you finish cleansing.

Authored Tinted Moisturiser, £28
Tinted moisturisers aren’t always for me, but this one from Authored exceeds expectations. Offering great coverage, it conceals issues like darkness, red spots and uneven tone while leaving behind a dewy finish to give skin a plumped-up, hydrated look. Unlike similar formulas, this actually goes the distance, with zero flaking or sliding whatsoever. Meanwhile, added vitamin E and moisturising pomegranate flower keep skin in peak condition, while the oil-free texture makes it suitable for all skin types – even those prone to breakouts. You can apply it with your fingers, but a buffing brush will give you a seamless blend.

Rose Inc Lip & Cheek Colour in Foxglove, £23
Of all the products in the Rose Inc range, this creamy blusher is my favourite. Compact with a handy flip mirror, it’s great for on-the-go and can be used on both your cheeks and lips for a fresh, healthy flush. The velvety texture blends like a dream, while the combination of squalane, vitamin E and ceramides hydrate, protect and strengthen skin. The tray is also refillable.

Rodial Glass Primer, £30
Primers are either your thing or they’re not, but this one from Rodial has converted me. Designed to give skin a smooth, ‘glass-like’ effect, it leaves your complexion with a peachy, baby skin glow that looks great with or without foundation on top. Smoothing uneven tone and diffusing the appearance of things like blackheads, it blurs and perfects, but in a natural way. Unlike some primers, it never feels oily or too slippy – in fact, it sets fast with a sheer dry down that never pills. Plus, it’s gentle enough to be used on eyelids too – ideal if you’re prone to oiliness in this area.

MyGel Magic Gel Remover, £9.99
Looking for a fuss-free way to remove your gel nails? This MyGel Remover is a complete game-changer. Apply a thick blob on top of your gels as you would normal polish, leave it on for five minutes, then use a nail tool – like Tweezerman’s Pushy & Nail Cleaner Tool – to gently scrape away both the remover, and your gel polish. You’ll be amazed how quickly it melts off and dissolves (thanks to the polyacrylic acid) without peeling causing any damage to the nailbed. The key is to use the pusher tool gently, edging everything off carefully and slowly – so worth it if you want to skip the salon appointment.

Glossier Brow Flick, £15
I’ve been a huge fan of this pen ever since make-up artist Katie Jane Hughes first recommended it to me. Despite owning it for well over a year, only now am I reaching the dregs. The lightweight formula is quite wet, so you’ll find it’s very forgiving if you make a mistake – just ensure you give it time to dry once you’re satisfied with the look. Find your starting point – where your brows are sparser – then lightly brush the pen in upward motions for full, fluffy results. You may find it too subtle, so go over any areas that need it, or use a brow powder on top for extra definition.

Pureology Hydrate Softening Treatment, £21.45
This conditioner-mask hybrid is a must-try for those with dry, lacklustre hair. With a rich, balmy texture, it’s satisfyingly thick and quickly untangles knots, while smoothing frizz and sealing split ends for healthier-looking results. Better still, it never feels greasy or heavy, despite the nourishing ingredients. Shea butter and almond oil get deep down into the hair shaft for instant, silky-soft – plus, the cardamom, cedarwood and sandalwood scent leaves strands feeling clean and fresh.

Verso Blemish Fix With Retinol 8, £80
I’m the first to admit this is expensive for what it is, but if you’re serious about finding spot treatments that work, it is worth a try. Using retinol 8 (which is gentle, but also eight times as potent as traditional retinol), niacinamide and turmeric, it quickly clears congested pores, boosts sluggish cell turnover and removes excess oil without further irritation. Just a small blob quickly cushions and treats painful, growing spots – so much so, you can almost see the inflammation reduce immediately upon application. It’s also great for smoothing skin and softening the appearance of fine lines, as well as redness. It works just as well on ingrown hairs.
