You’ll find the scent lingers on your skin for the entire day, so it’s a great way to try out some of their scents for less. BAIE 19 is a current go-to – woody, green and musky, it has a masculine quality that’s heady, rich and a bit peppery.

Chanel Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur in 265 Subversion, £32
This lipstick has been with me for years and I’ve used it right down to the smallest nub. It always gets compliments and despite how brick red it is, it’s actually very flattering. With orangey undertones, it suits most complexions, while the creamy, velvety texture glides across lips and stays there throughout the day. It makes your teeth look whiter, too.

Hello Klean Clarifying Scalp Soak, £10
This is one of my favourite products of all time. If you can get past the apple cider vinegar, you’ll love the effects this soak has. With a low lather, it’s designed to be used in place of your shampoo. For best results, leave it on for at least five minutes – or longer if you want a deeper cleanse – before rinsing it off and following up with a conditioner. It quickly detoxifies your scalp, shifting product build-up, but without stripping it of moisture, thanks to balancing rice water and tamanu oil. Added vitamin B5 means hair gets some extra hydration, too. Expect your colour to look more vibrant and hair to feel thicker and denser, too – we love how stylish the bottle looks in our shower.

Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm, £7.50
Fuss-free and housed in low-waste packaging, Versed is one of the latest skincare brands to have on your radar. Cruelty-free and vegan, this cosseting cleansing balm uses vitamin E and clove leaf oil to gently melt away make-up and impurities. The thicker texture also encourages you to give your face a good, deep massage, which in turn, promotes a healthy glow. Extra points go to the eucalyptus scent that’s both uplifting and calming.

If the skin on your face is feeling dry or tight, I can’t recommend this enough. To treat inflammation or flare-ups of any kind, this soothing gel-based cream works quickly to tackle the issue. It’s has high levels of HA to moisturise and lock in hydration, so it literally feels like a big drink of water for your complexion. You’ll love the lightweight consistency which absorbs fast and sits well underneath make-up, too.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Whipped Body Butter, £4.99
Affordable body creams don’t get much better than this. With a whipped souffle texture, this is satisfying to apply and it absorbs into the skin quickly. Brimming with hyaluronic acid, it locks in hydration without ever feeling greasy or tacky. You’ll find it drinks up dry patches immediately – especially scaly shins – while smoothing out redness and keratosis pilaris, too.

iT Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF50, £32.50
There aren’t many people who have yet to give this a go. A reliable CC Cream, it never disappoints. If you want a different base for summer, make it this. Lightweight but with just enough coverage, it protects your skin with SPF50 but also has a dewy, fresh quality to it that never looks too cakey. Plus, it has a host of skincare benefits, thanks to hydrating hyaluronic acid, strengthening soy extract and nourishing oils for extra moisture. It’s a cult buy for a reason.

Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Renew Cleansing Oil, £12
You’ve got to try Super Facialist. It rarely gets the attention it deserves yet its formulas are so gentle, affordable, effective and suit everyone. This Cleansing Oil is my favourite from the range. Full of brightening vitamin C, it gently smooths and exfoliates the skin while sweeping away all traces of dirt and make-up. It has a milky texture that feels luxe, too, and belies its £10.99 price tag. You don’t need to worry about double cleansing either – this is thick enough to take everything off in one go.

Beauty Pie Supercheek Cream Blush, £25
Cream blush is one of my favourite beauty items and this one is going to be a repeat purchase. Silky and smooth, it’s so easy to apply and build up, while the cream itself dries down into a pillowy matte texture for colour that lasts. Despite its longevity, it’s not chalky or drying, thanks to plenty of hydrating oils which give it just enough sheen for a healthy-looking glow. You won’t be disappointed with this – especially the shade ‘Fresh Faced’ which suits all skin tones.

Kevyn Aucoin Foundation Balm, £42
One of the best bases I’ve tried in a long time, Kevyn Aucoin’s foundation balm really lives up to the hype. It claims to be matte and full coverage, but it’s got that perfect skin-like quality – not to mention the semi-matte, velvety glow it leaves behind. Some reviews say it can look powdery but ignore them – use the brush it comes with and you’ll get a seamless finish that looks dewy and lasts for hours. My only bugbear? It’s currently available in just 20 shades, so here’s hoping there’s an expansion to the range in the near future.

Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub, £6.95
If you’re into heavy-duty body scrubs, you’ll love this one from Frank. Designed to look and smell like actual coffee, it is satisfyingly rich for a thorough exfoliation. A little goes a long way, but you’ll end up using more than you need because it feels so good. Wet your skin, then massage it into your arms right down to your ankles, taking circular motions as you go. The thick beads work to get rid of dead skin cells, unplugging blocked hair follicles and smoothing out bumpy skin. It’s impressive how quickly it yields results – expect smoother limbs and fewer breakouts, too.
