Our Favourite Skincare & Make-Up Buys At Aldi

There’s a reason Aldi’s beauty range sells out time and again: its ever-expanding line-up contains a host of products that are a decent match for some beloved – and more expensive – big-name counterparts. From covetable palettes to quenching creams and volume-boosting mascaras, here are some of our favourite finds from £4.99.

CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ALDI

Desert Rain Eyeshadow Palette, £5.99

Best For: Creating Several Looks

Why It’s Popular: Designed to mimic well-known cult eyeshadows, this palette houses beautiful taupe, copper and shimmery shades, all of which will look good on anyone. It’s everything you need for a wearable day-to-day smokey eye. What’s more, the velvety texture means they blend together seamlessly, with a pigment that’s rich and long-lasting.

Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner, £3.49

Best For: Gentle Exfoliation

Why It’s Popular: We still love some of the more classical toners on the market for their higher levels of glycolic acid and aloe vera, but for those on a budget, this will still visibly brighten skin and exfoliate dead skin cells. If your skin is hypersensitive, use it just once every two weeks as fragrance ranks highly on its ingredient list, which can cause irritation. Be quick with this one – it often sells out.

Caviar Illumination Day Cream, £6.99

Best For: Speedy Hydration

Why It’s Popular:  A popular addition to Aldi’s Caviar family, this day cream is rich but not greasy, so it won’t cause breakouts. Featuring a potent blend of soothing snow algae extract and hyaluronic acid, skin feels instantly hydrated – with a tightening feel that’s also super satisfying.

Bronzer & Highlighter Set, £9.98

Best For: Easy Sculpting

Why It’s Popular: This bronzer is one of the best we’ve tried for a warm all-over glow. The soft powder formula doesn’t feel heavy or cakey – just light and smooth with an easy-to-blend texture. Complete with a square-shaped brush, it’s a seamless way to sculpt skin and give it some extra luminosity. As for the highlighter, use the warm, golden bronze tone (which has a slight shimmer) to enhance cheekbones, the brow arch and areas like the bridge of your nose. Use a little under foundation for even more glow.

Pink Clay Dual Mask, £6.99

Best For: Tackling Several Skin Concerns

Why We Love It: Budget face masks don’t get much better than this. At just £6.99, it’s a good match for similar formulas on the market. Australian kakadu plum (a form of vitamin C) and witch hazel sink into the skin, breaking down dead skin cells, dirt and grime to leave skin looking instantly fresher. These ingredients also help control excess oil, while also blurring the appearance of pores. Use it once or twice a week for at least 15 minutes. For something extra, mix in a few drops of oil to give it a richer texture.

Too Legit Mascara, £5.99

Best For: Boosting Volume & Length

Why It’s Popular: This inky mascara was inspired by other more expensive iterations on the market. At just £5.99, it quickly builds volume, density and length in just a few sweeps. Plus, the oval-shaped wand allows you to get right into the roots so you can catch even the smallest of lash hairs. Expect a full, fluttery finish that doesn’t smudge or flake throughout the day.

Unlike some cleansers, your skin won’t feel tight or dry once you’ve rinsed it away, just smooth and plump with renewed radiance. It also comes with a muslin cloth to help you polish skin as you cleanse.
