Colour Block Lipstick, £27 | Ilia
Ilia’s lipsticks are top of my list for the longevity they offer and the bold pigment. For a balm, I love Summer Friday’s ‘Vanilla’ – it goes everywhere with me. I’m also never without at least one Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil – the shade ‘Falcon’ is beautiful. Finally, I love Tower 28’s Lip Jelly in ‘Almond’.

Naturals Deodorant, $24 | Corpus
I absolutely swear by this natural deodorant and always have it in my bag. It keeps me feeling fresh all day and the scent is beautiful – bergamot, pink lemon and orange blossom… so clean and uplifting.
Available at CorpusNaturals.com
Mauvaise Herbe Indica Oil, $135 | Muri Lelu
For skin prep, I always use a rich, facial oil and this is currently my favourite. I warm it up in my hands, massage it into my skin then let it soak in before applying my make-up. It’s hydrating and acts a great base for products to adhere to afterwards.
Available at MuriLelu.com
True Match Foundation, £9.99 | L'Oréal Paris
I’ve used this in shade number seven for years. I’m lucky to have found it as it’s the only one that really works with my complexion and tone. Better still, I love the texture – it’s so dewy and hydrating.
Available at Superdrug.com
Multi Bene Pot, $28 | Noto Botanics
This is one of my favourite beauty products. It can be hard to find a cream formula that gives you a good flush and doesn’t look blotchy, but this ticks all the boxes. I love the shade ‘Genet’ – a rich, dark berry red. When I’m not using that, I’ll alternate with Tower28 Beach Please Lip & Cheek Cream in ‘Rush Hour’. It’s the kind of vibrant, coral peach every brown girl should try. Blush aside, I also love the Noto Botanics Hydra Highlighter for a bit of subtle sheen.
Available at NotoBotanics.com
Milk Makeup Flex Concealer, £24 | Milk Makeup
This is by far my favourite concealer. My make-up bag isn’t complete without it. Creamy, blendable and it never creases as the day wears on.
Available at CultBeauty.co.uk
Tonka 25, £141 | Le Labo
I love fragrance, and this is the one currently in my beauty bag – rich and heady, it’s comforting and warm, plus it always earns me compliments.
Available at LeLaboFragrances.com
Balancing Mist, $68 | Oak Essentials
I always carry this soothing mist in my make-up bag. I use it liberally – and often – to keep my complexion feeling fresh. It gives me such a satisfyingly dewy glow in a flash.
Available at OakEssentials.com
Brow Swipe™ Pen, $16 | The Brow Trio
I don’t wear mascara – my lashes are pretty short and not curly. I learned early on I could put myself through torture trying to change it, or accept it and embrace it. Thankfully, my eyes are quite big, so instead I draw focus to them by working on my brows. I’ll brush and fluff my brows up with a spoolie, then go in with the MicroFill Pencil. For a special occasion, I’ll use the Brow Lifting Wax and fill in any gaps with the Brow Swipe Pen. The latter can be used to create a soft feline flick, too.
Available at TheBrowTrio.com
Banana Bright™ Face Primer, £24 | Ole Henriksen
This is my next go-to for priming skin. The smoothing, blurring effect helps prolong the life of make-up, while giving your complexion a better glow overall.
