Top Tips: The beauty of this look is its simplicity: glossy skin and bushy ‘boy' brows. For the former, try applying your highlighter before your foundation. Gently rub your chosen product (opt for a cream for the same sheen) onto the highest parts of your face – temples, forehead, down the bridge of your nose and under the brow bone. Not only will your foundation glide on better afterwards, the highlight will look more natural as it beams through your make-up.

Top Tips: Brows like this may look effortless, but they require a bit of work. For similar results, try using a brow pen first to create realistic, hair-like strokes. Find a starting point where your brows are sparser, then use short, dash-like motions to mimic the natural hair. To get the same bulk, run over your arches with a gel. Taking a light-handed approach, brush backwards against the hair, then take it back the other way to smooth everything out. This will give you fuller, fluffier arches.

Top Tips: A Charlotte Tilbury palette was used to create this smokey eye. And while a heavy dose of shimmer looks glamorous, it can sometimes distort the shape of the eye, making it look flat. The trick is to apply a neutral, beige-toned shadow through the socket first, to create depth, shape and definition, and allow you to layer several sparkly shadows over the lids for a 3D finish.

Top Tips: Skip blush and use a bronzer to enhance bone structure and maintain dimension like Nikki did here. Make sure you’re using a creamy formula that has some shimmer to it to get the same wet-look cheeks you see here. It’s worth priming your skin with a glowing primer, too, which will not only ensure your make-up lasts for hours, but will also create a subtle sheen.

Top Tips: Faux freckles were the order of the day for this look. Recreate with a thin-nibbed pen, like this one from Freck Beauty, which is designed to be very realistic. The thin brush allows you to dot carefully, with pigment that’s soft and buildable over foundation or on bare skin. Dot it on where the sun would hit, from the bridge of the nose to the top of your cheekbones. The effects are really quite satisfying – but remember, less is more. Start slow and take a light-handed approach.

Top Tips: Recreate the high-shine cheeks seen here with a glossy illuminator that contains little to no shimmer. Opt for a thin foundation, or a BB cream, and mix it with your highlighter, buffing the formula all over. Once you’ve finished, tap a bit more illuminator on top of the apples of the cheeks, down the bridge and tip of the nose, and over the brow bones to bring the whole look in together. Your blusher should be a creamy consistency to keep that glossy sheen going.
