Crayon Kajal Pencils, £26 | Byredo

If you’re in the market for an eyeliner that creates both razor-sharp lines and a soft, smudged effect, don’t miss these ones from Byredo. Thick and chunky, they’re easy to work with, while the smooth creamy texture is a dream to blend and smudge out. We love ‘Bhoora Bhoora’ – a smokey brown that suits all and is ideal for daytime, but don’t miss ‘Neela Neela’ either. It’s a chic navy alternative to black that enhances all eye colours.

Available at Byredo.com

Lip Trace Lip Liner, £20 | Simihaze Beauty

New brand Simihaze is already one of Selfridge’s bestsellers – and for good reason. These velvety lip liners make easy work of defining and shaping the outer edges of your lips –scribble them on directly and buff out with your finger for a soft, diffused effect.

Available at Selfridges.com

Tinted Blur Glow Stick, £28 | Nudestix

It’s no secret how much we love Nudestix and its new Blur Sculpt Stick is as impressive as the rest of the range. Bringing easy definition to the face without looking OTT or chalky, the cream formula has a sheer, glossy finish which lifts and sculpts while still looking natural. Use it over your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose and any other features you want to bring forward.

Available at BeautyBay.com

Dark Star Mascara, £26 | Pat McGrath Labs

Jet black with glossy, inky definition, this mascara ticks all the boxes – you only need a few coats to transform lifeless lashes. The curved brush latches onto all your lashes – even the shortest ones – for instant volume and flawless coverage, and it stays wet for a few seconds so you can really layer it up for extra intensity.

Eclipse Blush & Lip Stick, £18 | R.E.M. Beauty

We’re always a bit sceptical of celebrity beauty launches but Ariana Grande’s R.E.M Beauty has exceeded our expectations. Some of the products are better than others – but we really rate this new cheek and lip stick. Created with ease of use and portability in mind, it’s creamy enough to be blended out with fingers. Plus, it gives skin the kind of healthy, dewy glow we can’t get enough of.

Available at RemBeauty.com

Rodial Brow Pen | Rodial

Rodial rarely disappoints and this clever pen is no exception – we love how seamlessly it blends in with your natural hairs. The colours are very believable, while the pen itself is thin enough to mimic extra volume. Use the spoolie on the other side to brush everything through and ensure good placement of the pigment. Just bear in mind the colour is rich and dense, so be sure to apply the pen in light strokes, starting off in the sparsest areas first.

Stylo Correct Concealer Pen, £46 | Sisley

As concealers go, this is expensive, but it will last you for months – plus, the coverage is impressive. It also contains ingredients like alpha-bisabolol and benzoic acid, both of which are known to reduce the redness of blemishes. Smooth and satin-like in consistency, it’s easy to blend out, with long-lasting coverage that dries down into a luminous finish. You can easily get away with this alone – no foundation necessary.

Clever Curler, £57.99 | Bondi Boost

It’s no wonder this hair tool’s gone viral – affordable, effective and designed to create various styles of curl, it’s so versatile. Using something called ‘Ion technology’ it enhances shine as you go, while minimising frizz. Whether you want tousled waves, tighter curls or more of a crimp, this tool can do it all.

Hammered DP Pin, $110 | Deborah Pagani

These hammered French pins are having a moment – chic and understated, they’re the perfect way to enhance an updo. Anti-Wrinkle Peptide Plump Line Filling Bounce Serum, £69 | StriVectin

StriVectin is a brand that’s still quite under the radar, but it’s also one of the most recommended names among those in-the-know. We’ve been loving this Bounce Serum which uses natural collagen and hyaluronic acid to flood the skin with moisture. The result is a fresher, healthier and firmer-looking complexion that’s ready for any make-up or other products to be layered on top.

Black Tea Advanced Age Renewal Cream, £84 | Fresh

Fresh does some of the best face creams and its newest one is perfect for those looking to give their skin a refresh. Squalane, glycerine and ceramides combine to seal in moisture, while BT Matrix has been formulated to plump out wrinkles and uneven tone. You’ll see skin has better suppleness and bounce, while dark spots and enlarged pores will fade with regular use. It’s an investment, but a little goes a long way.

Deodorant Roll-On, £25 | Susanne Kaufmann

This year, expect to see several big brands launch deodorants that aren’t just friendlier to your skin but also good for the planet. We’re loving this one from Susanne Kaufmann. Full of fragrant botanicals, it has a eucalyptus scent that leaves you feeling clean, while the antibacterial benefits keep sweat under control without any aluminium. Extra points go to the recyclable bottle.

Exfoliating Seaweed Block, £18 | Haeckels

For instant exfoliation, nothing beats this Seaweed Block from Haeckels. Keep it in your shower and massage it over damp skin for a bracing scrub. The in-built coriander and peppercorn seeds swiftly buff skin to keep it soft and smooth, while aloe vera and tea tree oil reduce any unwanted red bumps. The green and zesty scent is incredible too.

Restorative Floral Bath Soak, £74 | Nature Of Things

If you prefer a good soak in the tub over a shower, this floral milk is a must-try. Jasmine, vetiver and cedarwood combine to clear stuffy sinuses and fill your room with a therapeutic scent that instantly soothes. It also contains shea butter and kahai oil, so as you sit in it, you’ll find your skin softens and feels far more moisturised afterwards.

Invisible Oil Ultra Rich Deep Conditioning Mask, £35 | Bumble & Bumble

Whether you’ve overdone the heat styling in December or want to give your strands some extra nourishment, this Bumble & Bumble mask should be top of your list. Full of coconut, argan and macadamia oils, it seals brittle, broken strands and boosts shine, as well as improving manageability. You can use it in place of conditioner, leaving it on for five minutes, or for more intense hydration, leave it on overnight or during the day.

This Is A Dry Texturizer, £23 | Davines

This clever texturiser spray is designed to create lived-in, effortless waves for all types of hair. Simply spray it onto the roots – or throughout the main lengths of your hair – let it settle, then repeat if needed. The result is a cool, tousled effect without the need for heavy-duty styling. The added volume is impressive and never feels sticky or greasy.
