Where To Drink Summer's Most Delicious Drink
Created in partnership with St-Germain
The Spirit
Named as an homage to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Parisian district known for centuries as an epicentre of artistic expression, St-Germain was created by third-generation distiller Rob Cooper who was inspired by the flavour of elderflower. Partnering with cutting-edge mixologists, he created a ready-to-mix liqueur designed for bartenders and at-home cocktail enthusiasts alike. The wild, natural sweetness of hundreds of fresh handpicked elderflowers gives St-Germain a transformative flavour that is unforgettable once tasted: indulgent, yet delicate with a fresh natural sweetness and hints of honeysuckle and pear. All packaged in a pretty, distinctive bottle that would look at home on any bar cart.
How To Drink It
Whether it’s the brand’s signature St-Germain Spritz or a twist on a classic, there’s an elderflower cocktail to suit every mood and occasion. Bartenders love the liqueur’s versatility and ability to elevate a classic cocktail – whether it’s a G&T, margarita, paloma, negroni or even an old fashioned.
Easy to recreate at home, the classic St-Germain Spritz uses just three ingredients: 45ml of St-Germain elderflower liqueur, 60ml of dry sparkling wine and 60ml of sparkling water, garnished with a lemon zest.
Want to mix things up? Swap the sparkling wine in the St-Germain Spritz for sparkling rosé and add a grapefruit wedge and olive to make a Rosé Spritz or add cider or ginger ale instead of sparkling water for a drink that works best when the evening draws in.
Where To Drink It
In partnership with McQueens Flowers, St-Germain has teamed up with a number of terraces across the capital, serving classic cocktails and creating eye-catching floral displays to really celebrate summer.
The terrace takeovers include Whitcomb’s at The Londoner – a sleek new hotel on Leicester Square – alongside locations such as Market Halls at Victoria, Canary Wharf and Oxford Street, plus Old Compton Brasserie in Soho. No doubt, they’ll be the perfect places to sip a St-Germain Spritz or two.
