Farm Shop by Artfarm

Artfarm is the group behind Roth Bar & Grill in Somerset, the Fife Arms Hotel in Scotland and Mount St. Restaurant in Mayfair. It has just opened Farm Shop. On the corner of South Audley Street and Aldford Street in Mayfair, Farm Shop will feature the same award-wining products as its Somerset Farm Shop at Durslade Farm in Bruton, with many ingredients coming from the 1,000-acre estate. The hugely popular and hyper-seasonal wild food range – created by in-house forager Kenny Jelfs – will be displayed centrally within the new shop. Fridges containing cheese, meats and ‘For Later’ dishes line the walls, alongside honeycomb from the farm and other condiments, rubs and sauces made in their kitchen. Fresh fruit and veg will be on offer too.

Daylesford Organic Soups

Following the success of its bestselling Organic Chicken Bone Broth, Daylesford Organic has launched two new broths this January: a 10-Hour Beef Bone Broth With Garden Greens & Herbs and a Hot & Sour Vegetable Broth. Both have endless nutritional benefits to help recover, restore and rejuvenate, from protecting bones to detoxifying the liver and nourishing the skin. Daylesford's in-house nutritionist Rhaya Jordan recommends a daily cup to maximise these benefits – whether this is simply heated up in a mug or elevated with an egg, noodles or meat for a heartier lunch.

Clearspring Japanese Kuwa Matcha

Authentic Japanese and organic fine foods specialist Clearspring has launched the UK’s first organic Japanese kuwa matcha. Just like traditional matcha, kuwa matcha is a vibrant green, finely ground powder. Instead of tea leaves, though, it is made using mulberry leaves so it is naturally caffeine free. Clearspring’s offering is made using organic and sustainably grown mulberry leaves from Kagoshima, Japan, where volcanic soils and humid climates make for ideal growing conditions. The result is a balanced flavour that is less astringent than the taste associated with green teas.

Belazu Flavour Hacks

This month sees Belazu launch Flavour Hacks, a range of multi-use pastes that offer home cooks a simple culinary shortcut to complex flavours including caramelised onion, roasted garlic, green chilli and balsamic sun-dried tomato. Developed by Belazu chefs to take the stress and hassle out of prepping fresh ingredients and reduce the time it takes in the kitchen to let flavours develop during the caramelising or roasting process, these pastes are designed to unlock flavour instantly. For example, one spoonful of the Roasted Garlic Flavour Hack adds the bold aromatic flavour of roasted garlic without having to peel, chop, or prep any garlic. Unlike many existing ingredient pastes on the market, there is no vinegar in the Flavour Hacks range and therefore no compromise on taste in comparison to using fresh ingredients.

Dualit recently launched a 5.5-litre air fryer featuring clever patented technology that distributes hot air for evenly cooked food. Typically using 75% less oil than conventional cooking methods, air fryers are faster and more energy efficient than regular fan ovens – perfect for quick, healthy meals. Dualit’s model has six functions to fry, dehydrate, roast, bake, grill and reheat food, with enough room in the main drum to cook a whole chicken. We particularly like the baking setting for homemade cookies and assemble-at-home croissants. The main tray is even dishwasher safe, making it easy to clean after each use.
