Editor’s Letter: September

My favourite back-to-school tropes, like new flared cords, chocolate brown nails and the smell of freshly sharpened pencils are currently on hold, as I wait impatiently for an extended stay in Mallorca (thank you NATS) to come to an end. Being deprived of my favourite office week of the year – the post-bank holiday chance to recalibrate and tune into September newness – has made me even more ready for the month ahead, which sees so much of what we’ve been working on in the background come to fruition.

Like many, I’ve overindulged a little this summer – three additional days of Spanish omelette, paella and aioli have done me no favours – so I’m particularly pleased about the SheerLuxe X FluidForm September reset, for which the Pilates gurus have designed an exclusive ten-day routine, full of nutritional tips and tricks to help you start the new season feeling great. Fashion month kicks off next week, and we’re all thrilled that SheerLuxe is partnering as the official publishing partner for TikTok's Fashion month #TikTokFashion & trending tomorrow community event. From NYC to London, our fashion team and favourite broadcasters are going to be bringing you the coolest street style, the best behind-the-scenes access and, obviously, what we’re wearing too, so you can stay up to date with the most important weeks in the fashion calendar. I’m particularly looking forward to Ralph Lauren’s first runway show since before the pandemic, and I always keep my eye on Matthew Blazy at Bottega. I’m going to New York and have it on good authority that new downtown restaurant Casino is the place to be right now – no doubt it will be a late addition to our NYC guide. Which reminds me: if you haven’t cast your votes in the SheerLuxe London Bar & Restaurant Awards, there’s still time before entries close on Monday. 

From the next Business Edition to autumn’s edition of UltraLuxe to a new launch celebrating the best female talent across every industry, our editorial team have a busy month ahead. By the time we next speak at the beginning of October, a new host of celebs will have hit the Strictly dancefloor, the world will be all pumpkin-spiced-everything, knitwear and coats will be peppering the SL fashion content… and quite possibly, I’ll have made it back from Mallorca.
