Style Watch: 6 Looks We Love This Week

Fans of the SheerLuxe Show will be familiar with our regular Style Watch section, in which we dissect the coolest looks we've seen lately. Well, we thought it was about time we brought it to the site too – from snake print trousers to an oversized collar, here’s what our fashion team think.

LOOK 1:

Lu Hough: I love this – Alison mixes statement trousers with a simple white body, oversized shirt and neutral accessories for a casual, yet vibrant, look.

Polly Sayer: On paper, snake print trousers never scream chic to me, but Alison has changed my mind. Pared back with an oversized white shirt, they feel more understated and cool than gaudy.

LOOK 2:

LH: On the surface, this outfit is really simple, but the slit in the skirt and ruching round the waist elevates it.

PS: I love how relaxed this look is, but it still makes an impact. There’s not too much going on, but it just proves that with a matching two piece like this, there’s no need to over accessorise.

LOOK 3:

LH: This look is understated but so effective – if you need any more evidence that supersizing is a shortcut to making any outfit look cooler, this should do it.

PS: I totally agree. If everything was shorter and form fitting, it wouldn’t be nearly as swoon-worthy. I also love how she’s tucked one half of the shirt in and casually draped a sweater over her shoulders – small details like this can make a look feel far more considered instead of frumpy.

LOOK 4:

LH: The exaggerated volume on the shoulder is the obvious talking point here, but for me, it’s the shoes that steal the show. Who doesn’t love an embellished heel?

PS: Emili’s known for wearing bright colours, but she looks amazing in this all black look. That bardot neckline with puff sleeves keeps things interesting – kudos to her for adding a tiny pop of colour with that neon green nail paint, too.

LOOK 5:

LH: What a way to style a bump! While the socks and shoes combo might not be for everyone, the oversized collar adds a feminine touch to this all leather look.

PS: From the knees up, I adore this. Sadly, the socks and shoes are a bit too 'schoolgirl' for my taste, but I do appreciate how the black and white tie in with the blouse and dress. The contrast between tough leather and a girly collar is also super cool.

LOOK 6:

LH: This could be one of my favourite outfits of the summer. The cornflower blue Jacquemus dress with elongated tassels is a statement in itself, but paired with killer white heels, cat-eye sunnies and gold jewels, it’s easy and super chic.

PS:  This shade of blue is so gorgeous. Rikke hasn’t shied away from statement accessories either, despite the maximal tassel detail – unexpected, but she totally pulls it off.
