SL’s Best Dressed At The 2023 BAFTAs

Stars and royalty were out in force at London’s Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday night for the 2023 BAFTAs. Gracing the red carpet in everything from classic Louis Vuitton to embellished Gucci, here’s our list of the best-dressed stars…

Jodie Turner Smith

It was a case of more is more for British actress Jodie Turner Smith who looked phenomenal in a purple, feather-tiered, embellished Gucci gown. A statement diamond choker, winged eye-liner and a smattering of crystals across her cheeks brought extra drama to the look.

HoYeon Jung

HoYeon Jung was a vision in gold Louis Vuitton. The actress ensured the silhouette of the dress did all the talking by keeping the rest of the look simple with swept back hair, a clean red lip and a simple diamond collar.

Julianne Moore

Having gone for an elegant black column dress by Saint Laurent and a triple layered diamond choker, you can always count on Julianne Moore to make red-carpet dressing look easy. The feathered white stole added a touch of old Hollywood glamour.

Cate Blanchett

A winner on and off the red carpet, Cate was one of our favourite looks of the night. The actress wore a reworked version of a Maison Margiela gown she first wore to the Oscars in 2015, while her Louis Vuitton necklace was crafted from repurposed Tahitian pearls.

Sara Sampaio

Model Sara looked flawless in black Zuhair Murad. The ball gown shape delivered all the necessary drama, while the off-the-shoulder detail and a subtle cut-out kept things on the right side of contemporary.

Sheila Atim

This look ticked all the boxes. The classic strapless silhouette and opera gloves were given a modern update by way of the foil-like silver fabric, with everything complemented by statement diamond jewellery.

Ana De Armas

Ana de Armas stunned in a blush custom Louis Vuitton pink satin dress. The frill-trimmed bralette kept things interesting, while the relaxed waves and minimal make-up felt feminine and effortless.

The Princess Of Wales

Opting for an Alexander McQueen white one-shoulder number she first wore to the same event in 2019, this time Kate Middleton added contrasting black opera gloves to her look. We love that she wore a statement pair of earrings from high-street hero Zara, too.
