The Debut
A much-anticipated debut since the exit of Alessandro Michele, new Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno revealed his first collection this week. Aptly named ‘Gucci Ancora’ – Italian for ‘Gucci Again’ – he presented the polar opposite vision, with stripped back details, minimal silhouettes and softer prints. Reminiscent of Miu Miu and with influences from his time at Prada, fans of the brand were split. As for us? We’re excited to see how this new direction at Gucci evolves.

The Bags
Bottega Venetta’s cult weaved bags – from the ‘Jodie’ to the ‘Hop’ – have been on the arms of every major celebrity, influencer and fashion insider over the past few years. So, we were excited to see how the brand has evolved these classic pieces for its latest collection. With new colourways, size options and silhouettes, it’s clear maxi styles are going to be big news next season.

The Details
Embracing something a little more *extra*, designers like Jil Sander and Bottega Venetta lent into glitzy fringe. While it’s not party season yet, we suspect it may overtake trends from past years such as metallic silver and heavy sequin embellishments.

The Runway Cameos
After starring together on the cover of Vogue earlier this month, the OG supermodels – think Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer – continued their reunion tour, making appearances on the runways at Milan. Most notably, both Naomi and Claudia walked for Dolce & Gabbana.

FENDI
The Guests
While Fashion Week always has its fair share of A-listers, the Fendi show – and frow – was particularly star studded this year. From Kate Moss to Winnie Harlow, creative director Kim Jones drafted in his long list of celebrity friends to see what he’d been working on.

The Show
Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’s latest collection spoke to their growing Gen-Z audience with attention-grabbing moments such as green slime dripping from the ceilings. Highly directional, critics argued this was a metaphor for the fluid collection, which leant into craftsmanship and fit, and featured expertly designed gowns, tailoring and outwear.

The Street Style Star
We all know influencer Emili Sindlev loves colour, so we were excited to see her take on the growing red trend in Milan. Elsewhere, she stripped things back in jeans and a knit, later going out in head-to-toe black for a dinner in the city.

The Tailoring Hero
Tailoring was dominant in Milan, but few did it quite like Tom Ford. With slimmer trousers than we’re used to but more relaxed blazers, the brand introduced fun twists such as a silky pink suit paired with a gold belt and body chain.
