5 New Stores To Visit In London
FOR AFFORDABLE JEWELLERY: Astrid & Miyu, Notting Hill
Marking a return to the brand’s roots, Astrid & Miyu opened a store in the heart of Notting Hill back in April – the very neighbourhood where founder Connie Nam originally started her business. While it might be A&M’s fifth bricks-and-mortar location in London, it’s the first to offer all three of its services – including piercing, welding and tattoos, in a Instagram-friendly setting filled with florals, quirky lighting and plenty of mirrors for an ear stack selfie.

FOR HIGH-END BRANDS: Browns, Mayfair
Having held an iconic spot on South Molton Street since 1970, Browns moved to a new location earlier this year and it’s better than ever. Situated on Brook Street in upmarket Mayfair, the store is described as “a destination designed to immerse you in a curated world of fashion, fine jewellery, food and culture.” Expect to browse all the high-end brands with personal service and, if you fancy some refreshments afterwards, there’s even an in-house restaurant situated within the four flours of the Grade II listed building.

FOR PIERCINGS & MORE: Tada & Toy, Notting Hill
London-based jewellery brand Tada & Toy has opened its first flagship store in the capital’s iconic Portobello Road, offering fans of the brand the chance to see its pieces up close, and even get pierced on the spot. Designed entirely by founders Tansy and Victoria, the store space has been inspired by the curved villas of the Mediterranean and mixed with Indian architecture. Stunning.

If an immersive experience is what you’re looking for, Vashi’s Covent Garden store offers shoppers the chance to experience fine jewellery first-hand. As well as an inviting bar and lounge area, there’s also a casting lab and workshop in full view, allowing customers to create and design their own bespoke pieces, from engagement rings to everyday heirlooms.

FOR AFFORDABLE FASHION: Nobody’s Child, Carnaby Street
Last month, fashion brand Nobody’s Child opened its doors on Soho’s Carnaby Street for the brand’s first ever pop-up. Proving sustainable shopping and affordability aren’t mutually exclusive, the space gives shoppers the opportunity to experience their pretty dresses, loungewear and swimwear, the majority of which are created with responsibly-sourced fabrics. With prices from as little as £24, you’re bound to find something to suit.
