the RESTAURANTS & BARS
Battersea Power Station has endless eating and drinking options. From family friendly spots to buzzy restaurants and bars, the venue is constantly evolving with new outposts regularly opening. For a fun and casual lunch or dinner, Arcade Food Hall is inspired by vibrant market culture and currently has 13 different cuisines to choose from – including Thai at Phed Power, Indian fast food at Hero, and Middle Eastern plates at Shatta & Toum. You’ll also find two bars with happy hour offers on select evenings. Elsewhere, diners can enjoy noodles and stuffed bao buns over at BAO, vegan dishes at Clean Kitchen Club, gourmet kebabs from Le Bab, and fresh pasta at Noci – to mention a few.
Afterwards, head to Control Room B for drinks, where the original dials and control desks from the 1950s have been restored to their former glory. Here, you can order inventive cocktails alongside wine and champagne. Another great option is Searcys Champagne Bar, next to Lift 109. Plus, we were excited to hear that the venue will welcome new names in the coming weeks and months, including Indian favourite Dishoom, set to open next week and El Pastor (winner of Best Mexican Restaurant in the SheerLuxe 2023 Restaurant Awards) which opens next year. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for the newly opened Borough Kitchen Cook Shop, with its most extensive range of products and largest cook school.

the ENTERTAINMENT
Planning a festive day with the girls or fun night out with your partner? Battersea Power Station is always buzzing, but the venue comes alive at night, especially during the festive season. Visit Arcade Food Hall on Thursday, Friday or Saturday evenings for the ‘Arcade Sound System’ DJ sessions and happy hour. DJs take over the decks in the Tap Room from 8pm until late, setting the vibe with disco, soul and funk. Over at BAO, visitors can book ‘Playtime’, the restaurant’s secret KTV (karaoke) room. With over 1,000 songs to choose from, it’s open until 11pm with space for up to 14 people – think fried chicken, bao buns and drink pitchers with your favourite songs.
Get competitive with your friends at Bounce where you can play ping pong, shuffleboard, wonderball and other games, then order sourdough pizzas and cocktails at the bar. Catch the latest Christmas movies at the slick Dolby Cinema in The Power Station, complete with reclining seating and a menu of wine, cocktails, popcorn and savoury snacks, while the nearby Lift 109 is the perfect experience to see London’s Christmas lights sky-high from a one-of-a-kind glass elevator 109m high. There are private ascents and gift vouchers available, too.

the FESTIVE ACTIVITIES
It wouldn’t be Christmas without some festive twinkle. The riverside neighbourhood has been transformed into a magical destination complete with sparkling lights, Christmas trees and supersize decorations. Visitors can also look forward to family friendly activities – like arts and craft sessions and live performances including carols with The Battersea Power Station Community Choir – and skating on the capital’s only riverside ice rink, Glide, in collaboration with Jo Malone London. Visitors can take in views of the Thames while skating across three interconnecting rinks surrounded by twinkling lights and a spectacular 30ft Christmas tree. Afterwards, stop for drinks at The Glass House Bar and visit the Instagrammable gingerbread house pop-up beside the rink. Here, you can browse Jo Malone London’s collection of festive fragrances and customise gifts with bespoke personalisation.
If that wasn’t enough, Battersea Power Station is hosting festive workshops for adults. Until Friday 22nd December, visitors can book on weekday evenings to try lino printing, foil stocking decorating, candle paining, furoshiki wrapping, calligraphy and more (tickets start from £20). Plus, in November and December, the Power Station will host a series of evolving Christmas markets. Beginning with The Prince’s Trust’s Festive Marketplace on Saturday 25th November, shop for Christmas presents from inspirational young business owners. On Saturday 2nd to Sunday 3rd December, the Salad Days Christmas Market will bring together over 60 independent makers in Turbine Hall A. Shop festive gifts, Christmas cards, personalised baubles, hand-painted ceramics, homeware, jewellery and more. Then, from Saturday 9th to Friday 22nd December, the Curated Makers Christmas Market will pop up in Turbine Hall B with unique gifts from 40 makers, creators and small businesses. From baked goods to hand-poured candles, there will be something for everyone.

GETTING THERE
Getting to Battersea Power Station couldn’t be easier. It now has its own Zone 1 Underground station on the Northern Line and the entrance/exit is on Battersea Park Road. It’s also easily accessible by train, bike, bus and river bus with its very own pier. Taxis should be directed to Pump House Lane and parking is available seven days a week, with a special discounted offer for those that shop there from Monday to Friday.
The shops inside the Power Station are open from 10am to 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm to 6pm on Sunday but the bars, restaurants and entertainment venues open earlier and later. Find the Christmas opening hours here.
