Bread Ahead
Bread Ahead is selling traditional hot cross buns until Easter Saturday. The dish features an indulgent bun filled with raisins, currants, apple and mixed peel with a mixed spice and cinnamon glaze, giving each bun an extra shiny, sticky finish. The freshly baked buns will be distributed daily to each of the Bread Ahead sites on Beak Street, Pavilion Road and its stall at Borough Market. Get them while you can.

Celebrate Easter in style at Christopher’s, where a limited-edition ‘Malteaser Bunny Cake’ will be available from Good Friday to Easter Monday. The cake comprises layers of malt chocolate sponge sandwiched by malt chocolate ganache and covered by an exterior of Malteasers. Pair with ‘The Egg-squisite’ cocktail: a mix of Stolichnaya red vodka, caramel syrup, Chambord, egg yolk and fresh raspberry, garnished with caramel and mini eggs.

Renowned Hong Kong brand Duddell’s will be celebrating Easter with its limited-edition ‘Easter Basket’ of dim sum and an Easter cocktail which mixes crème de cacao, Cointreau and Havana seven-year-old rum. The basket will comprise of six steamed dumplings crafted into Easter-themed shapes including two chicks filled with chicken, mushroom and asparagus; two prawn dumplings moulded into the shape of goldfish; and two resembling the classic Easter bunny, also filled with prawn.

Harvey Nichols has launched a limited-edition chocolate afternoon tea. The cream tea always offers classic finger sandwiches, scones, tea, coffee or prosecco, but for Easter head pastry chef David Conlon has created a trio of chocolate macaroons; a white chocolate Easter egg; a hazelnut, caramel and chocolate sponge; a white chocolate exotic mousse; chocolate pavé with passion fruit crémeux; and a chocolate verrine with caramelised macadamias.

Ikoyi will be open on Easter Sunday for a celebratory lunch. Jeremy Chan and the team have worked closely with their trusted suppliers to create a menu filled with the season's finest produce and peppered with a few of Ikoyi’s signature dishes. We like the look of the plantain, raspberry and smoked scotch bonnet dish (pictured), shaped into rabbit ears. The menu is priced at £95 per guest and includes a glass of champagne on arrival.

Classic scones, sandwiches and sweet treats will be given an extra twist this weekend, as Marriott County Hall will be adding bunny chocolate cakes, mini chocolate egg decorations and hot cross buns to its afternoon tea menu. On Easter Sunday, the hotel’s steakhouse Gillray’s will serve a traditional roast, followed by hot cross bun bread and butter pudding with apricot jam and custard.

Nobu London and Nobu Berkeley St will be serving its limited-edition Easter ‘Tamago’ – egg in Japanese – until 21st April. The creation oozes apricot coulis from a gold chocolate shell, cut open to reveal a rich hazelnut sponge and a bitter caramel ice-cream. Inspired by the Japanese ritual ‘Takekiri-e’, the Easter dessert has a slash across it, symbolic of the bamboo cutting ceremony said to prevent disasters.
