Go-To Treatments

The best treatment I’ve ever had is a sculpting facial massage by Olga at Face Up Beauty in Grey Lynn. It’s nothing short of incredible and I always fall asleep! I’m also intrigued by the idea of lip blushing, but I’m yet to try it out.

Beauty Advice

Quality products don’t have to be expensive. Some are worth the splurge, but it helps to know where to spend and where to save. There are so many incredible, affordable brands out there making beauty more democratic.

Wellbeing Rituals

I see an osteopath every week and get regular lymphatic drainage massages, too – if you’ve not had one before, I highly recommend you try it. Nicky at My Beauty Room uses the Sheila Perez Method, which is incredible. I also love an infrared sauna for a bit of extra glow and I’m a bit obsessed with adding powders and supplements to my smoothies – I use Dose & Co.’s Collagen and I love Golde’s powders.”

JASMINE DOWLING

Quality products don’t have to be EXPENSIVE. Some are worth the splurge, but it helps to know where to spend and where to SAVE.

Hair Essentials

MONDAY Haircare, obviously – I use the MOISTURE Shampoo and Conditioner. I also love the Gisou Honey-Infused Leave-in Conditioner and the ColorWOW Dream Coat Supernatural Spray for frizz. I do rate the Dyson Airwrap – I’m just working on being able to curl it like they do in the salon. In terms of blow-dries and styling, I see Cole at M11 Studio in Auckland – he is the best if you’re ever that way. Dry & Tea also do incredible blow-dries. If I am in London for work, it’s always Duck & Dry, and in LA I love Drybar or the Salon by Joseph at Beverly Hills Hotel.

Repeat Buys

Lanolips lip balms and the By Terry Baume de Rose are two of my top repeat buys. I always buy my sunscreen from Australian brand Ultra Violette – its Queen Screen is like a serum and the scent is delicious. Ava the co-founder has poured her heart and soul into that brand. Saie’s Slip Tint is another favourite and I like wearing it on top of my SPF. I’m also never without Byredo’s Hand Cream in Gypsy Water and the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

Nail Favourites

I’ve been seeing Sophie from Nails by Sophie (@OrlyNailGirls) in Auckland for many years and I often draw inspiration from Pinterest or Instagram — our MONDAY Muse Betina Goldstein (@Betina_Goldstein) does such clever things with a simple, chic manicure. If I’m visiting my team in Sydney, Bella Salon (@BellaSalonDB) always does a fantastic job. I also went to JINsoon in New York recently and loved it. I get my nails done often and I find taking a collagen supplement helps to keep them strong. If they start to get especially weak, I’ll take a break from the manicures.

JASMINE DOWLING

I got into a bad habit of buying EVERYTHING I saw on TIKTOK. Although I wouldn’t recommend buying everything you see, it is a good place to find fresh INSPIRATION.

Skincare Saviours

I have an incredible dermatologist – Dale Chandler in Auckland – who has transformed my skin. I see her every four weeks and she always gives me tried-and-tested products she knows will work for me. I also use an Omnilux industrial LED light at home every other night and it’s worked wonders at keeping breakouts at bay. Right now, I’m using some Cosmedix products and have been trying Truth Treatment Systems. I’m seeing results with its Hyaluronic Mineral Hydrator.

Brow Buys

In Sydney, Kristin at Kristin Fisher Eyebrows is worth seeing. No one does brows quite like her and I always leave feeling uplifted – she’s a ball of energy. I have very thick eyebrows thanks to my dad, so I don’t overdo it, but I use the Kosas Air Brow Fluff & Hold Treatment Gel in ‘Dark Brown’.

Anti-Ageing Staple

Eye cream, always. I’ve been using Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Eye Crème after a friend gave it to me and it’s safe to say it’s now a staple in my skincare routine.

Relaxation Aids

My house is filled with beautiful candles; they really help me unwind. Byredo and Loewe are classics, and lately I’ve been loving Boy Smells.

Jasmine Dowling

Glow-Givers

Masks are the secret to a quick glow. The Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask and the Rose Gold Mask from 111SKIN are unbeatable. I also love using my gua sha when I get a spare 20 minutes. I really like Danna Omari’s (@NoySkincare) videos; they’re so relaxing.

Fragrance Finds

Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is one of my favourite scents – not a week goes by that I don’t get a compliment on it. I also love Byredo’s Gypsy Water. It took me through my 20s and now I enjoy wearing it for the nostalgia.

Beauty Shopping

I got into a bad habit of buying everything I saw on TikTok, which totally cluttered up my beauty cupboard. I wouldn’t recommend buying everything you see on there because the algorithm favours fleeting products that are only ‘of the moment’. It is a good place to find fresh inspiration though.

Favourite Store

Glossier’s stores are always so inspiring. Emily and her team have done an incredible job of bringing the brand to life in a dedicated retail space. It makes me really excited to do the same with MONDAY one day…
