Jones Road

Launched in 2020 by Bobbi Brown (yes, the same Bobbi Brown whose former eponymous brand is now owned and run by  Estée Lauder) Jones Road focuses on easy to use, natural-looking make-up. Long-term Bobbi fans will welcome familiar products like the pot of gel liner, but she’s also launched some market-first concepts like the bestselling Miracle Balm, a primer-base-blush-bronzer-highlighter hybrid, and The Face Pencil which offers users an easy a way to simply scribble on a bit of extra coverage.

Charlotte Tilbury

Celebrity and editorial make-up artist turned beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury only launched her eponymous brand in 2013 but it’s speedily swarmed all the beauty halls, becoming one of the biggest household names out there. Using her bevvy of famous friends as models (think Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue and even Sir Elton John) the lead aesthetic is unashamedly glam – think shiny highlighter and smokey eyes – despite all formulas being totally user friendly. Standouts include her streak-free bronzers and pore-hiding, glow-boosting Hollywood Flawless Filter.

Makeup By Mario

Kim Kardashian’s personal make-up artist has built a loyal following over the years and even collaborated with Kim on what was then known as KKW Beauty. A few years ago, Mario Dedivanovic launched a line of his own, with his eyeshadow palettes becoming an instant hit. Today, Makeup By Mario also encompasses flawless base products, beautiful lip colours and expert-approved tools.

Violette_FR

Can Parisian-girl-chic be bottled? If anyone can make a solid attempt at it, it’s make-up artist Violette Serrat. Since 2021, her ethos has been about empowering people via make-up, so rather than chasing perfection, she encourages playfulness with bold colours and blendable formulas. The entire range is vegan, and the products are particularly great for easily irritated skin. The Petal Bouche lip colour is one of the longest lasting around (but feels so comfortable on) and the Yeux Paints are incredibly pigmented, so you can paint on a subtle flush or build things up into a bolder look.

Lisa Eldridge

Lisa Eldridge is a renowned make-up artist with an impressive roster of A-list clients. Before launching her eponymous brand, she started a successful YouTube channel, which saw millions of subscribers tune into her educational videos to lap up her honest approach to beauty. Predominantly known for lipsticks, the Lisa Eldridge brand now stocks a range of products from foundation to highlighters.

Sculpted By Aimee

Starting her make-up career at age 16, Dublin-born make-up artist Aimee Connolly launched her brand aged just 23. Regular SL readers will know we’ve long been fans – in fact the brand was one of our ‘Rising Star’ nominees in our recent Beauty Awards. Hardly a newcomer now, Sculpted has amassed over 241k followers on Instagram – along with an extra 202k for Aimee herself. Our favourite products are the multipurpose palettes and natural bases.

Westman Atelier

With a career that has spanned more than 20 years – including time spent as an artistic director at both Lancôme and Revlon – Gucci Westman is a big name in beauty. She’s best known for her signature, dewy glow – an aesthetic reflected in her own brand, which make-up artists and celebrities love for its contour, highlight and blush sticks.

Danessa Myricks

Founded by make-up artist, photographer and entrepreneur, Danessa Myricks’s namesake line aims to break down boundaries and challenge convention when it comes to formula, textures and shades. The cult brand used to only be available in the US, but now it’s available at select retailers in the UK, too. From suits-all blushers to dewy highlighters and flawless concealers, there truly is something for everyone.

Pat McGrath Labs

Pat McGrath is one of the world's most respected make-up artists. Industry insiders will know her as the woman behind some of the most iconic runway looks and the queen of flawless base. Her brand, founded in 2014, is known for its high-performance products, opulent packaging and avant-garde collections, which include richly pigmented eyeshadows, velvety lipsticks, and skin-perfecting foundations.

Vieve

Jamie Genevieve is one of the UK’s leading beauty YouTubers and make-up artists, with decades of experience under her belt. So it’s no wonder that when she launched her own line in 2019, people paid attention. As for the products, we love the Skin Nova – a lightweight glow-giving base that transforms your complexion. The silky blush balm and lip dew come a close second.
