Paravel Mini See All Leather Trimmed Cosmetics Case, £65
“When it comes to carrying my make-up, it’s nothing fancy, but I do like to keep everything in these PVC cases. That way, you can see what’s inside and if things leak, it’s quick to clean so that bacteria doesn’t fester. They’re great for travel too – because they’re so compact, they never take up too much space.”

Charlotte Tilbury Push Up Lashes! Mascara, £23
“This is my favourite mascara of all time. I am always so impressed by how well it lifts and curls my lashes – the results last a whole day with zero flaking.”

Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturiser, £40
“I prefer lighter coverage, and specifically the kind you can build up throughout the day should you need it. Chanel’s Tinted Moisturiser has always been that to me, which is why it’s stayed in my make-up bag for so many years. It’s my ‘holy grail’ product and I can’t see the point of using another base. It glides on seamlessly, gives my skin a nice, even tone and comes with SPF30 for extra protection.”

Charlotte Tilbury Nudegasm Palette, £60
“It’s Charlotte Tilbury again, but I really do rate this palette. It houses two shades of bronzer – one that’s light and the other dark – so you can play with the colour and the result. There’s also a beautiful peachy blush, as well as a highlighter. It’s so useful having everything in one place – especially as I am constantly on the go, so I prefer products that are quick and easy. I use some of the shades on my eyes as well, for a subtle, daytime-appropriate smokey look.”

Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen, £47
“Liquid eyeliners don’t get better than this. Dual-ended, it has a thick and thin brush tip so you can achieve the most precise results. It’s made in Japan – which explains the quality – and the dry down is rich, glossy and completely budge-proof. It’s the only eyeliner I’ve ever been able to count on – plus, it doesn’t dry out quickly, unlike similar ones out there.”

MAC Studio Fix Mattifine Shine Control Primer, £28
“Oily skin isn’t necessarily my bugbear, but I am prone to shininess through my T-zone once make-up is on. As a result, I always use MAC’s Mattifine Shine Control Primer before applying my foundation. It goes on after my skincare and SPF. I only use a small amount, but it makes all the difference to how my make-up wears throughout the day.”

NARS Single Eyeshadows, £17
“The only eyeshadows I’ve ever used are from NARS. In my opinion, they’re the best quality and the colour range suits everyone. They’re also so easy to use and blend – you can always sheer them out for a lighter finish – but most importantly, they last all day and well into the evening.”
Available at NarsCosmetics.co.uk
La Bouche Rouge Paris Lipsticks, £62
“La Bouche Rouge lipsticks are a cut above the rest – the sort of products you own for life. Available in luxurious, leather cases, you can then restock them with lipstick refills as and when you need – they make great gifts and the colour payoff is like nothing else. The brand is also very committed to sustainability and doesn’t use any plastics (or micro plastics) in ingredients or packaging. The entire philosophy is very admirable.”

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel & Brow Wiz, £23
“Eyebrows aren’t something I’m willing to experiment with, which is why I stick to my all-time favourite duo – the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and Clear Brow Gel. The pencil is very user-friendly. You only need to use very light strokes to quickly fill in any sparse areas, while the gel, has a chunky brush to add fullness and fix the product in place – as well as wayward hairs. You can’t go wrong.”

Elf Fluffy Eye Blender Brush, £4 (was £5)
“A versatile fluffy brush is a must-have in my make-up bag. They’re the only way to achieve a good, seamless blend. I like to be quick with my make-up routine, but I do take the time to buff out my eyeshadow – it makes such a difference to the final result and gives everything that diffused, natural-looking finish.”
Available at ElfCosmetics.co.uk
Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick, £44
“Gucci Westman is the queen of contouring and highlighting if you ask me. I love the natural approach she takes with her products – the goal is always to keep your skin looking natural and youthful, so that any glow looks as if it comes from within. This Contour Stick makes sculpting a breeze. It’s a cream, so you can blend it quickly without fear of streaks. I love that Gucci is also really cautious about the ingredients she uses. Everything in the range feels light and soft on the skin, never overbearing or thick.”

Pat McGrath Labs Lip Pencil in Structure, £25
“I am a bit late to the lip liner party, but I’ve recently become obsessed with them. In the past, I’ve never thought they looked natural, or they’ve sometimes been too dry, whereas the newer formulations are so much easier to use. I love Victoria Beckham’s pencils in shades one and two – they have a soft buttery texture that never dries out. Another favourite is Pat McGrath’s Lip Liner in Structure. The shade, the texture – everything about it is spot on. I never finish my make-up without it.”
