Eau Parfumée Thé Blanc Eau De Toilette
£114 | Bvlgari
If like me, green tea is not usually a note you would be drawn to in a fragrance, this scent is the one that will change your mind. The reason I’ve become a convert is the delicious pairing of said green tea with honeyed neroli petals and a white musk accord. A version of it was originally created in 1992 as an exclusive gift for the brand’s most important high jewellery clients, and it feels fitting for today’s incarnation; a bit like fine jewellery, it’s delicately sparkling and but has a warmth to it that melts into the skin, making it feel like a properly personal concoction.

Le Parfum Hair Rituel
£92 | Sisley
If you’ve ever wished someone would turn the scent of your favourite hair product (hello, Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray) into fragrance, the clever team at Sisley have done just that. Designed to scent your hair as well as your skin, this is an optimistic, fresh fragrance with a cosy, woody undertone that makes it completely addictive. Better still, you won’t incur the wrath of your hairdresser if you spritz it liberally; it’s formulated so that any alcohol dissipates before it hits your hair, so it scents it without drying it out.

Brown Flowers Eau De Parfum
£155 | D.S. & Durga
Musk is a common thread in my favourite fragrances, so it’s no surprise that this gem from US brand D.S. & Durga has caught my eye (and nose?). What is surprising, though, are the notes that make up the rest of this eccentric, entrancing scent: brown orchid, coffee flower, dried cedrat and Queen Anne’s lace (also known as wild carrot) all mingle to create a deep, musky, almost musty scent. The brand calls it a ‘weird brown flower’ scent, which I love.

Graveolens Geranium Candle
£70 | Bamford
It feels like I’ve been waiting forever to disclose one of my favourite-ever fragrance finds and this time it’s not for your skin but your space. Having had a private preview months ago during a visit to Lady Bamford’s pelargonium (a gorgeous glasshouse bursting with the most vibrant scent of geraniums) this candle and the rest of the collection has finally launched. If you love the verdant scent of geraniums and are a sucker for the grounding depth of frankincense, add this to your basket immediately. Herbaceous, subtly spicy and created by the talented Lyn Harris, this is the perfect candle to carry you through the shifting seasons.

Astrum Nova
£295 | Electimuss London
I’m not usually one for fruity notes in my fragrances but this showstopper from niche British perfume brand Electimuss has swayed me. Once you get past the dazzling look and feel of the bottle (as heavy as it is intricate) the combination of earthy oud and spicy ambertonic with juicy mango and bright citrus will surprise you. I’m not sure whether it’s the price (caveat: it is expensive), the blend or the bottle that has me hooked but whatever it is, it’s an elegant, grown-up scent that I guarantee will keep the compliments coming your way.

Anemone Eau De Parfum
£120 | Grove England
I was first introduced to this scent via its handwash and hand cream (I am a sucker for a fancy sink-side duo) but am now captivated by the whole fragrant family. At first spritz it feels light and airy (that’ll be the chamomile) but it soon gives way to something soft, sweet and a little soapy thanks to jasmine, neroli and sweet linden. For me, it all falls into place after it’s mellowed a little on the skin, with a warm, woodiness taking over courtesy of cedarwood, labdanum and petitgrain. A rather special find.

Otto Home Spray
£48 | Malin + Goetz
This New York brand may be more famous for its skin and body care, but the fragrance line is equally as brilliant. I love the Cannabis collection, and particularly the scented candle, but I’ve recently become addicted to its rose otto home fragrance. I often find rose too powdery but this is something else – light, fresh and almost slightly aquatic, think of the scent of dew on roses after a heavy summer downpour and you’re pretty close. It’s also odour-neutralising, so it’s the perfect way to freshen up any space without it becoming overpowering.

Performance MoodSwing
£30 | Moods
I’m all about beauty that does more, so I’ve been enjoying trialling this clever new collection of functional fragrances that are designed (and clinically proven) to impact your mood. The Performance rollerball duo is the one I’ve found myself reaching for during a week of pressing deadlines – little wonder, as it contains a zesty blend of herbal notes like lemongrass and rosemary and eucalyptus and pine to improve cognitive clarity and encourage focus. Both ends can be rolled onto pulse points when you’re feeling foggy at your desk, while the portability factor means you can also stash in your bag when you need a little extra boost when you’re on the go.
