Double heavyweight champion Antony Joshua’s cult boxing gym BXR is taking over Paddington Gardens for outdoor sessions. If you’ve missed the boutique fitness treatment, BXR Parks has everything you need to keep you on your toes. Choose from boxing, cardio and core conditioning and strength classes, with sessions held by the club’s five-star team. Classes are held in Paddington Gardens, a stone’s throw from Marylebone BXR. If you’re a BXR member, you can also sign up for household, work or bubble in-studio classes on the legendary VersaClimber.
THE DETAILS: Classes are held throughout the week for £20 per session (or six classes for £100), although BXR members get complimentary access until 17th May. There’s no need to bring anything – you’ll be provided with a fully sterilised mat, set of weights and resistance bands prior to your session.

The outdoor bootcamp (which you may know as British Military Fitness, the original name before they rebranded in 2018) serves up a hard-hitting session that guarantees serious results. Their signature class comprises strength and drills designed to improve aerobic and anaerobic fitness – a combination guaranteed to supercharge results. Suitable for all, classes are split by ability.

F45’s Brixton team has recently set up The Yard, where cardio-focused classes are held throughout the week. Weights are provided – all you need to bring is a towel and exercise mat.

London’s original ballet workout, Paola’s Body Barre (aka PBB) guarantees serious results after just four sessions. Dynamic, fun and high energy, PBB has taken things outside, holding classes six times a week at Bishop’s Park in Fulham. Drawing various elements from Pilates, yoga and ballet barre conditioning, these sessions will tone from top to toe, giving you a strong, chiselled body and an incredibly strong core.

BEST FOR RUNNERS: OneTrack
The brainchild of top running coach and biomechanics expert Anthony Fletcher, OneTrack’s run club is back on track after a year of virtual classes. Interval-based sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm and all levels are welcome, whether you’re totally new to running or are working towards a bigger goal. Plus, sessions are held at the Duke of York Square track, just off the King’s Road, the track where Roger Bannister trained for his famous sub-four-minute mile.
THE DETAILS: A spot can be secured for free or for a contribution of £5. Free places are released on the day but OneTrack members get early bird access and guaranteed free places.

BEST FOR SPINNING: SoulCycle x Selfridges
Fitness collaborations don’t get better than this. Tucked round the back of Selfridges in Edward Mews, SoulCycle has set up an outdoor studio, where bikes are socially distanced for a fun and safe workout. Whether you’re a morning person or prefer to work out later in the day, the jam-packed timetable means there’s something for everyone, although advance booking is highly recommended.
