What’s New At The Supermarket This Month

From refreshing fruity seltzers to vegan salad dressings and retro chocolate treats, there are numerous new products to add to your basket this month. Here’s what to look out for at your local…

Sacla' Vegan Dressings

If you’re a fan of creamy salad dressings but also vegan, there aren’t many options out there. Enter Sacla'. The Blue Ch**se Dressing is a great dupe for its dairy-packed alternative, while the Creamy Caesar Dressing is perfect drizzled over crunchy croutons.

Banana Scoops

Exclusive to Ocado, Banana Scoops is the only brand in the UK creating vegan, banana-based ice cream using a combination of natural and plant-based ingredients. Creamy bananas are blended with select ingredients including vanilla, raspberries and cocoa powder to create a sweet treat free from refined sugar, artificial colours and is also low in fat. Even better? The calorie count starts from as little as 156 for half a tub.

Take a trip around some of the world’s most famous wine regions with M&S’s new wine range. Just launched in store, ‘Classics’ has been specially curated to offer a taste of some of the most iconic wines out there, from classic Provencal rosé, to the crisp freshness of Italian Gavi. We love the robust flavours of the Rioja Reserva.

Dalston’s Seltzer

Putting real fruit back into soft drinks, Dalston’s seltzers are just as refreshing – not to mention better for you – as the average fizzy drink. Having built long-term and direct relationships with all of their suppliers, the brand’s founders are careful to source local ingredients wherever possible. Choose from one of these new flavours: Rhubarb, Elderflower or Cherry.

Miso Tasty Sauces

New from Miso Tasty comes a range of versatile cooking sauces to add a dose of Japanese flavour to any dish with a simple squeeze. Launched this month, the range includes Sweet & Sticky Teriyaki, Sweet & Savoury Miso, and Zesty Miso Yuzu. The sauces can be used in a variety of ways: as a glaze, sauce, marinade or dressing.

Jason’s Bread

Created over four generations, Jason’s Bread takes a classic ciabatta, mashes it up in a sourdough process, bakes it in a tin and packages it sliced – creating their cult Ciabattin. There are three types to choose from – White, Grains & Seeds and Craft Beer. Delicious just lightly toasted with lots of salty butter, or topped with avocado, feta and sunflowers seeds.

As a nod to some of their favourite childhood chocolate treats, Doisy and Dam have released Ballers, Buttons and D&Ds. Only this time they’re palm oil free, with ethically sourced ingredients and completely vegan. The perfect Netflix sharing bag (if you feel like sharing, that is).

Re:Nourish

Vegan soup brand Re:Nourish has recently launched two new flavours: FUEL – Yellow Split Pea & Turmeric Daal and ENERGY – Pea, Basil & Lemon. The carefully designed, heatable, recyclable grab-and-go bottles means these delicious soups can also be enjoyed with or without utensils, while the entire range can be frozen up for up to three months.
