What’s New In Interiors This Month
Issy Granger
Issy Granger is known for her pretty, decorative glass candlesticks, but her latest collection is a unique trio of ceramic designs which embody an artistic collaboration that spans two millennia. From the ancient sculptors to Issy’s own interpretive drawings and the ceramicist who brought the designs to life by carving each one by hand, the all white collection is inspired by the myths and legends of the Ancient Greeks and Romans.

Martha Freud Ceramics
British-born artist Martha Freud founded her studio in 2008, with her work often treading the line between tongue-in-cheek wordplay and philosophical reflection. Her delicate ceramics balance a uniquely fragile beauty with her own touch of playful irreverence, and they’re perfect for displaying as wall art or as a decorative piece on a shelf.

Using a specialist 3D printing technique, Argot Studio has reimagined the classic vases of Ancient Greece in futuristic designs using 100% polylactic acid (PLA) derived from corn starch. The material is locally sourced, non-toxic and plant-based, and the result is undeniably eye-catching.

Interior designers Hutley & Humm have the solution: their new TV unit is designed to be wall mounted, typically over a fireplace but it would work just as well as a console or bookshelf. Jo Laing
London-based illustrator Jo Laing has treasured a tiny Italian ceramic matchbox she was given in an Amalfi restaurant for more than 20 years. Having searched for the best part of a decade to try and build a collection and never found anything similar, Jo set out to make her own. The creative process took her to the famous potteries of Stoke-on-Trent where she designed samples alongside a talented team of ceramicists. Now, Jo will release several limited-edition designs each month, all of which are meticulously made by hand and each unique box is signed and numbered. This Swan design is available for pre-order. Watch out too for ceramic coasters coming soon.

The Socialite Family
A former journalist and art buyer for an advertising agency, Constance Gennari founded The Socialite Family in 2013. As a mother of two, Constance decided to photograph and write about a new generation of parents and their changing lifestyles. Now, alongside a dedicated studio team, she’s developed a range of furniture, lighting and homeware that is cool and contemporary. We’re a little bit obsessed with the Nonna pouf.

Alexander Thomas
We’ve just discovered Alexander Thomas, a brand founded by interior designers Iain Pritchard and Glenn Robb. With a nod to the fresh, bright style of US designers, the range encompasses hand-curated homewares, European vintage furniture and original contemporary art. The standout piece has to be the statuesque Bradley lamp.

Bert & May has extended its Maze tile collection to capture the architectural, linear style and symmetry of the Art Deco era. Ferm Living
With the rattan trend going nowhere, and portable lamps now firmly on our radar, the new Ferm Living Porti Braided Lamp offers the best of both worlds. Reimagining the form and function of a lantern, the Porti Braided Lamp offers a soft, warm glow and comes with a braided rattan shade that rests on a slender metal frame. Even the feet are adjustable to align the lamp on uneven surfaces – plus, you can adjust the brightness with the hover touch function and turn it off with a gentle tap.
