Only few months after the fashion world went mad for quiet luxury – think tonal looks, neutral shades and minimalist colour palettes – red has taken over. Earlier this year, designers like David Koma, Gucci, Valentino, Fendi and Eudon Choi all used it to maximum effect via crisp suiting, flowing dresses and polished accessories, making it the colour of the season.

Injecting the shade into her looks via colourful accessories, as well as playing with head-to-toe red looks, she’s one to watch if you want fresh inspiration on how to wear it. Elsewhere, @ClaireRose wore top-to-toe red at Milan Fashion Week, while @AlexRiviere wore a cool pair of trainers to nod to the trend.

The Styling
If you’re keen to embrace red now, there are several ways to do it. To dip your toe in (pardon the pun) shoes are one of the simplest ways to incorporate a bit of colour. Take your lead from the and pick up a pair of adidas Spezials or Gazelles, and pair them with jeans and blazers or suits to add a bit of edge. Elsewhere, a pointed slingback offers a more elevated take. Similarly, red bags are everywhere in every shade from bright crimson to cherry and maroons.
If you’re feeling a little braver, swap out black, grey and beige knitwear for bright red. Team it with tailored trousers or blue denim, while pink or brown will also give you more of that colour-block look. To go one step further, try teaming two contrasting red shades together to create a totally monochromatic look.
